Philadelphia progressive act mewithoutYou, who are currently on a tour of the United States, were robbed earlier this morning while staying in a hotel in North Dakota. Here’s what they had to say on their Facebook page:
:This morning around 5:52, me and the two people sharing a hotelroom at THE BEST WESTERN RAMKOTA in Bismarck, ND, were awoken by an a man going through our bags. Dude was sneaking around in the dark in our room, attempting to rob us. Zero to Sixty, went as ballistic as possible, he got away with some wallets and petty cash. The hotel clerk had the balls to look me in my eye and say that the liability was on me, ON ME, no sorry, no we will do all we can, no free breakfast. It basically our fault. What kind of business model is that @thebestwestern”
A fan of the band commented on the post, saying “Tackle the motherfucker,” to which a member of the band (who apparently is a karate master) replied “I tried, got a double leg jump kick, slammed him into the door but he had shoes and a strong desire to evade me. Now, kind of sad and have mega rugburns.”
Well, at least nobody got hurt! (with the exception of the dude who got the rugburn). mewithoutYou’s last album “Ten Stories” was released in May, 2012 on Pine Street Records.
