New Against Me! album will sound “fucking tough”, Laura Jane Grace producing

According to an MTV interview with bassist Andrew Seward “Transgender Dysphoria Blues”, the upcoming Against Me! album, will sound “fucking tough.”  He also confirms that the band has decided to not work with previous producer Butch Vic on the release as singer Laura Jane Grace will be doing that herself.

A quote from the article:

“It just sounds fucking killer,” bassist Andrew Seward told Hive backstage at the recent Fun Fun Fun Festival of the new album. “I don’t know if ‘brutal’ is the right word, but it just sounds really fucking tough, and good.” Seward added that the band has been in the studio recently, and are without super-producer Butch Vig, who helmed the band’s last two albums. Instead, they’re overseeing production on their own. “[Singer] Laura [Jane Grace] is recording the whole thing herself,” Seward explains. “Engineering, producing, build the studio — full-on everything.”

Against Me! last released the double disc “White Crosses/Black Crosses” on their label Total Treble Music, and will soon release its follow-up entitled “Transgender Dysphoria Blues”.
