Progressive rockers Coheed And Cambria have released the first song new to public ears in over two long years! That’s right! The Broken can be heard on the band’s MySpace page and will appear on their forthcoming release, Year Of The Black Rainbow.
If you can’t wait for the 13 April release, you can hit up iTunes to download The Broken. Pre-orders are currently being taken for YOTBR, including a limited-release deluxe package that contains two unreleased demo tracks, a 352-page hardcover novel (entitled Year Of The Black Rainbow) written by Claudio Sanchez & Peter David, a DVD (entitled Every End Has A Beginning) of the making of Year Of The Black Rainbow with band & producer interviews, and finally, a Coheed And Cambria Black Card which entitles cardholders to enter CAC concerts early, discount on CAC merch, and access to contests, downloads, and “other goodies.” The deluxe edition is kind of pricy ($40) but I guess you do get a lot of crap for it…
Coheed’s last release, No World For Tomorrow, came out in 2007 on Columbia Records.
