Nitro Records to be re-launched in 2014, vinyl reissues in the works

After years of speculation regarding their “current status”, it has been announced that Nitro Records (owned by The Offspring‘s Dexter Holland) will be relaunched next year, and vinyl reissues appear to be in the works. Nitro recently issued the following update on their Facebook page:

“Greetings! We’re busy at work preparing our 2014 re-launch plans. What release on vinyl do you want to see first from Nitro?”

It was announced last July that The Bicycle Music Company now has the rights to all recordings released on Nitro. Bands that have released recordings on the label include many notable punk bands such as AFIJughead’s RevengeThe VandalsThe DamnedTSOL and Guttermouth. Nitro also released the reissue of The Offspring’s 1989 self-titled debut album on CD for the first time in 1995 and again in 2001.
