Pacific Ridge Records to release “The Scene”

Pacific Ridge Records, the masterminds behind the recent Alkaline Trio tribute, have revealed plans to release a new compilation titled “The Scene”. You can check out the cover art right over and the idea behind the compilation right here:

“TThe project in question was created with the idea that we would gather a terrific group of under-the-radar talent and let them demonstrate their skills with original music. And in my opinion Blink-182’s compilation series titled ‘Atticus’ is the closest comparison to this particular project. ‘Atticus’ attempted to shed light on new and upcoming artists by including a variety of genres and styles on one record, and in doing so they exceeded almost everones expectations by unveiling original talent like Taking Back Sunday, The Starting Line, Bad Astronaut, Hot Rod Circuit, Finch, Rise Against and dozens of other bands that are thought of as the greatest of their era. Since Atticus has been slow to keep up their work, I thought Pacific Ridge Records would take a stab at selecting a few artists that have unparalleled ability, and who I think with a little dedication and hard work are destined to achieve great things.”

The cover art is right there on the left and you can check out some tracks from the release here.
