According to an article on The Salt Lake Tribune, Social Distortion‘s Mike Ness has estimated that the band will begin writing new material in January 2013 for their follow-up to last year’s Hard Times and Nursery Rhymes.
No further more details have been released, though Mike did say that his plans for the record are to “shock everyone and release it in a timely fashion“, and adds, “I don’t like to take it for granted that fans will stick around. We had some big gaps between albums.”
In the meantime, Social Distortion are embarking on a U.S. tour and will be returning to Europe this summer for a series of festivals there.
