Sometimes, ya just gotta let the basser think he’s an important member of the band. It’s not often that The All Brights true front men, Big Wave Dave and Mattsimum Waves relinquish the microphone, but for one song on the new EP The White Album, they handed vocals duties over to basssist, Pat L. Board. When we asked Mr. Board about his shining moment on the track “Stand Up Pat L Board” he told us: “This is the tale of Pat L. Board and his misadventures toward manhood. Without the Mr. Miyagi-esque help of my bandmates, Mattsimum Waves and Big Wave David, the ‘frontman’ you all know and worship today may never have been born. In this most epic of epics (2 minutes and 47 seconds), you shall hear the story of initial defeat and eventual triumph of our glorious hero of the beach: Pat L. Board. Shaka.” Give it a listen below and then let the dudes know if you think Pat should get more mic time or if he should just stick to slappin’ those four strings!
