Los Angeles hardcore metal act The Deserters are heading into the studio to record a follow-up to 2012’s The Slow Rhythms of a Dead-Beat. Kyle Black, who produced Shai Hulud‘s Reach Beyond the Sun, will be spinning the knobs on this EP, which will be called Try to Feel.
Try to Feel will be released in early 2014 on Mediaskare Records.
Guitarist Will O’Bryan explained the sentiments behind the new EP: “Realizing that there is nothing left for us in the cities that saw us change from resident to visitor, we wanted to make an EP that could expresses that mindset, sonically.” He added, “Prepare yourself for the ugliest Deserters record that you’ve ever heard. No holds barred, honest music by dishonest people.”
