This Is Hell announce new 7-inch “The Enforcer”, stream title track

Long Island hardcore act This Is Hell will release a new limited 7″ single titled “The Enforcer” on I Surrender Records on February 19th. The title track “The Enforcer” can be streamed here.

The 7″ is limited to 500 copies (300 red 200 clear), and is available for pre-order today in the I Surrender Records webstore. The remaining copies will be available at This Is Hell shows and in select record stores.

Guitarist Rick Jimenez on why these songs are different than previous This Is Hell releases:

“We continuously evolve as a band and THE ENFORCER is just another step in that evolution. These songs push the boundaries of what we’ve done before just as BLACK MASS did and WEIGHT OF THE WORLD before that. The riffing is on a level we haven’t been to yet, and this is just the beginning for us. Every record we do is different from the last. THE ENFORCER has different vocal approaches, different song writing structures, guitar techniques, etc than anything prior for This is Hell.”

This Is Hell released their fourth studio album, Black Mass, in October 2011 on Rise Records.

Tracklisting:

Side A:

The Enforcer

Walking Abominations

Side B:

Flag of the Serpent

Whiplash (Metallica cover)*

*only available on the physical release

When asked why the Metallica cover, Jimenez said “for good measure… who doesn’t wanna wind up with a bit of Whiplash after a gig?”
