Tim Timebomb streams new cover “Hang Out The Front Door Key”

The latest Tim Timebomb and Friends installment is a cover of The Blue Sky Boys’ “Hang Out The Front Door Key”. You can stream it here. This is what Tim had to say about the song:

“This one was originally done by The Blue Sky Boys- Earl and Bill Bolick who hailed from East Hickory NC. They named themselves in tribute to the Blue Ridge Mountains- “The Land Of The Sky”. They got their start crooning on the radio in North Carolina back in 1935. Mostly trad ballads and gospel songs. Considered one of the best country vocal duets, they influenced the Everly Brothers and the Louvin’s. This is our take on it. Have a great weekend everybody!”

Tim Timebomb is the latest side project from Rancid’s Tim Armstrong, who has been releasing a long series of singles on iTunes every week since the beginning of December 2012 through Hellcat Records. Tim is currently on tour with Rancid.
