Tim Timebomb streams new songs “Up To No Good” (Rancid cover) and “Dark As A Dungeon”

Time for your daily dose of Tim Timebomb and Friends.

We missed yesterday so we have a little catching up to do with not one, but two new tunes from Tim Armstrong of Rancid’s new project.  The first song is a Rancid cover of “Up To No Good” and ere’s what Tim had to say about the track:

“The original version of “Up To No Good” is on Rancid’s ‘Let The Dominoes Fall’ album…We are proud to have Ryan Foltz’s dogs making a guest appearance on this version!”

The second track is a cover of “Dark As A Dungeon” by Merle Travis and of this one Tim states:

“Singer-Songwriter Merle Travis originally penned and recorded this one about Appalachian coal miners. You see, Merle grew up in the heart of Kentucky’s coal country. When he was 12, he wanted to learn to do guitar picking the way the local coal miners played.”

Listen to both songs here.

The collection of Tim Timebomb and Friends songs is slated for a December 25th release through Hellcat Records.
