Obey The Brave sign to Epitaph Records; releasing new album “Young Blood”

Canadian metal/hardcore act Obey The Brave has just announced through a little video that they have signed to Epitaph Records (US) and Distort Records (Canada).

The band originates from Montreal and Ottawa, Canada, and since their formation just this past January, has gained quite a following. They guys recenty released their debut EP “Ups and Downs” last month through Good Fight Music, and are now preparing for the big leagues. Epitaph will be releasing Obey The Brave’s forthcoming debut full-length album, “Young Blood”, August 28.

The band will take their high-energy live performance across the US on The All Stars Tour this summer and will head over to Europe later this year on the Never Say Die Tour. Check out tour dates here.

Here’s what lead vocalist Alex Erian had to say about the signing,

I remember listening to my Pennywise and Rancid cassettes back in high school and daydreaming endlessly about being in a band and touring the world. If someone would have told me back then that I’d sign one day with the label that started it all, I would have never believed it. It feels unreal but my boys in Obey The Brave and I are definitely up to the challenge. We’re extremely honored to now be part of the Epitaph family and are looking forward to many years of pure fucking destruction together!

  • My daughter and I went to see U2 when they were here and we had the most aynoning woman in NZ right behind us. She continually spilt wine down my daughter’s back fell into us, on and on it went. Luckily some friends came and took her elsewhere 1/2 way through or I think I would have clocked her one. I did shove her backwards when she fell on me. It was hard to keep a straight face as she sprawled, legs splayed all over her friends.
