Pennywise already working on next album

Even though Yesterdays is only one week old, Pennywise frontman Jim Lindberg recently told Daily Breeze that he and guitarist Fletcher Dragge have been working on new songs for their next album. He explains:

“We’re not talking about what’s next at the moment. We just want to enjoy the moment, enjoy playing on the tour. I have some new songs, Fletcher probably has some songs. When it feels normal and right, we’ll start playing and putting them out. You never want to feel like you have to put out a record. It should be, “I wrote this song and I really love it and I want to play it with you guys.” That’s the time to record new songs.”

Yesterdays was released last Tuesday on Epitaph Records, and is their first album with Lindberg since 2008’s Reason to Believe. To support Yesterdays, Pennywise will take part in the Summer Nationals tour with The OffspringBad ReligionThe Vandals, and Stiff Little Fingers. After that, they will tour Europe with Rise Against.
