Chopfest III: A Punk Rock Reunion loses Lost In Line and Ballpoint, Ebolagoldfish and Million Dollar Pants added

There has been some last minute line-up changes to this weekends Chopfest III:  A Punk Rock Reunion.  It  has been announced that Lost In Line and Ballpoint have pulled out but been replaced by the equally awesome Ebolagoldfish and Million Dollar Pants.  The show goes on this Saturday (June 4th) at Hermanns Bar in Sydney and by go on I mean it’ll go off.  Pick yourself up a ticket here and be sure to check out the newly released set times here.

Here is a statement from the promoter:

“It’s with extreme disappointment we have to announce that LOST IN LINE and BALLPOINT have pulled out of this Saturdays CHOPFEST show at Hermanns Bar. We were officially informed of the very late decision by both bands on Saturday, May 28. We would like to apologize to all ticket holders and especially those who were travelling from far away to see either band, I know there were a few of you. The decision was completely out of the promoters control and feelings of frustration and anger can be directed straight towards the said bands. I guess putting on a show with a lot of out of towner’s and bands that haven’t played in a long time was always a risk, that being said however, the show will go on and to soften the blow we have added a couple of bands that will fill the voids nicely. EBOLAGOLDFISH will slot in for ballpoint and if the rumours are true, will be busting out all their classics like “Noodles” and “Humphrey Bear”. Filling in for Lost in Line will be MILLION DOLLAR PANTS (Feat; members of MAJOR KEG). They will be playing all the classics you have come to love from MILLION DOLLAR PANTS (Feat; members of MAJOR KEG) over the past 10 years.”

Every band we’re amazing and came to the party, streaming a track off their most recent release; Friends With The Enemy even gave us their whole EP, “New World Disorder,” for streaming.  Check out the full list of interviews here.

DS Exclusive Track-by-Track plus full EP stream: Friends With The Enemy – “New World Disorder”

Last year when we checked in with Friends With The Enemy the band were pushing along at a rapid pace having just finished a US tour.  Since then they won an opening slot on the Soundwave Festival in Brisbane and have generally been kicking ass all over the place.  This time around we’d thought we’d try something a little different and singer, Chelsie jumped on board to give Dying Scene a track-by-track breakdown of their 2010 release, “New World Disorder.”  You can stream the EP in it’s entirety as you find out exactly what each song was written about, straight from the band itself.  Check it out here.

The band will be playing Spoonfest this weekend at The Step Inn in Brisbane.  Make sure you pick yourself up a ticket here.
