Did I hear that correctly? Bowling For Soup are recording a new album? Damn straight, they are!
Fresh off of a nearly sell-out UK tour earlier this year, Bowling For Soup have decided that it’s time for new tunes. What started out as merely a four or five song EP has now turned into a full length album entitled “Drunk Dynasty”, aiming to be released at the end of September, 2016. The announcement of new music from everyone’s favorite Texan pop-punks ignited a frenzy amongst fans that ultimately resulted in a crowd funding campaign that ended up shattering its target in only nine days, and still going strong.
Vocalist/guitarist Jaret Reddick says:
“When we decided to go into the studio this summer, I thought an EP was the best move. Not really for any reason other than time. I think the future for BFS is less music, more often. I hate waiting 2 years between releases. And I really like recording!
An EP is usually like 5 songs. We recorded 8 already. So I said FUCK IT! Drunk Dynasty is going to be 10 songs! Best of all, we aren’t increasing the price for the album on our pledge campaign…”
That’s right folks, the full album will remain at the original EP price. Better yet, it’s available NOW for pre-order through the crowd funding campaign here.
Bowling For Soup will be back in The UK this fall, supporting Steel Panther for a string of Arena shows.
