Refused announce new album “War Music,” stream first single “Blood Red”

Swedish hardcore/noise punk icons Refused will be releasing a new album titled “War Music” October 18th via Spinefarm and Search and Destroy. Get yourself a little taste by streaming the album’s first single, “Blood Red” below.

“War Music” will mark Refused’s first full-length since 2015’s Freedom released via Epitaph Records.

“Servants of Death” is taken from Refused’s latest album Freedom, which was released a year ago on Epitaph Records, and was the band’s first album in over 15 years.



Refused announce Australian tour dates with Sick of It All

Swedish hardcore punk icons Refused have announced Australian tour dates with New York hardcore icons Sick of It All.

Last June, Refused released Freedom, their first album in 17 years, on Epitaph Records. Sick of It All released their latest full-length album The Last Act of Defiance on September 30, 2014 through Century Media Records.



Refused announce U.S. tour dates with Deftones

Swedish hardcore punk icons Refused will kickoff their U.S. tour in May with The Coathangers and Plague Vendor. The Deftones will headline some of tour dates beginning in August.

Last June, Refused released Freedom, their first album in 17 years, on Epitaph Records. The Coathangers are going to release their new album Nosebleed Weekend on April 15th on Suicide Squeeze Records, and Plague Vendor released theirs on March 25th on Epitaph and it’s called Bloodsweat. Deftones will drop their new album Gore on April 8, 2016.

Soundwave 2016 announces Australian festival lineup

Soundwave Touring is putting together a pretty diverse show to hit 3 cities in Australia early in the New Year.  Bands like Bring Me the Horizon, NOFX, and Refused will join up with Public Enemy, Disturbed, and The Deftones for three shows in Australia’s main cities of Melbourne, Sydney, and Brisbane.

Refused cancel west coast tour dates

Refused have announced that an “unforeseen personal scheduling conflict” has forced them to cancel their November west coast tour.

The band stated in their Facebook post regarding the cancellation that they hope to return to the states soon, so we’ll keep you posted if and when the new US dates are announced.

Refused last released Freedom on June 30th through Epitaph Records. It was their first album since 1998’s The Shape of Punk To Come.



Refused to play next year’s Soundwave

Swedish hardcore punk icons Refused have announced that they will be playing next year’s Soundwave in Australia. Also playing are Bullet for My Valentine, Dead Letter Circus and Failure.

Refused announces West Coast shows

Swedish hardcore punk band Refused has just announced a string of West Coast tour dates coming up this November.

The group will be playing five shows – Pomona, LA, Oakland, Portland, and Seattle.

Video: refused plays “War On The Places” at Vacation Vinyl

A new video has just been released by Swedish hardcore group Refused, showing the four-person band playing a live rendition of their song “War On Places”. Much like their video for “Elektra“, this one shows them rocking out in the packed showroom of Vintage Vinyl, while the audience tries to enjoy the music while still respecting the aisles of records along the walls. Check it out below.

Both “War On Places” and “Elektra” come from their latest album, “Freedom”, which was released on June 30th via Epitaph Records. This marks their first release since “The Shape Of Punk To Come”, back in 1998.



Refused to stream live performance from Open’Er Fest on Thursday (July 2nd)

If you haven’t had a chance to catch Refused on the road recently, you’re sorta in luck. BUT, if you’re in the States, you’ll have to plan accordingly.

The Swedish hardcore vets will be performing at the Open’Er Fest in Poland tomorrow (Thursday, July 2nd), and they’ll be streaming their set live. It’s going down at 5:30pm Eastern (2:30pm Pacific / 11:30pm local time in Poland). Check it out right here.
