Hit The Switch stream “North Star” and “Associative Forces” off upcoming album “Entropic”

“Entropic,” the new album from melodic thrash punks Hit the Switch, is top of my personal most anticipated albums of 2018 list. It was before I heard a single song from the release and now after the premiere of two more tracks (“Associative Forces” and “North Star”) it solidified at #1. “Entropic” is due out September 25th on Bird Attack Records and is the band’s first release since 2009’s Observing Infinities.

Hit The Switch (thrash/punk) tease new album “Entropic”

Thrash punks Hit the Switch have just released a thirty second teaser off of their new album “Entropic.” The boys (formerly of Nitro Records) will be releasing “Entropic” on Bird Attack Records on September 25th!

Hit The Switch released their latest full-length Observing Infinities in 2009. They’ve told us they were recording a new album a few times since then… and it’s proven to be true!

Bird Attack Records signs Hit the Switch (punk/thrash) for release of new album “Entropic”

Florida-based skate-punk label Bird Attack Records has announced the signing of So-Cal punk/thrash band Hit the Switch. They will be releasing their first album with Bird Attack, titled Entropic on September 25.

Originally formed in 2003, Hit the Switch has released 2 full-length albums and some singles, including a cover of Pink Floyd’s “Welcome to the Machine” and the 2011 “Retroactive.”



For Heads Down (Melodic Hardcore, Germany) Stream Tracks From Forthcoming Full-Length “Resurgence”

German melodic hardcore group For Heads Down are allowing fans to stream a few tracks off their forthcoming album “Resurgence”. The release is penned for July 20, 2018 and is being handled by Melodic Punk Style.

“Resurgence” will be the first recordfrom the group since the 2013 effort Storm Warning. According to For Heads Down’s bandcamp, their latest material should excite fans of Andrenalized, Much The Same, and A Wilhelm Scream.

No Fun At All announce North American Tour

Swedish skate-punk legends No Fun At All have announced a full North American tour, with dates in both America and Canada. The tour begins on September 7th and stretches throughout the month.

Denver punks Allout Helter have released a new music video for their song “Speed Of Blight” which features Nuno Pereira of A Wilhelm Scream.

Dead Neck (Melodic Hardcore, UK) Release Reissue of Self-Titled Debut EP

The UK’s Dead Neck are reissuing their debut EP. The self-titled release features five super-melodious tracks with a distinctly gritty backbone. The entire record has also been completely re-recorded for the occasion.

The drums for the re-release were captured out in Rome at Hell Smell Studios and the rest of the process took place at Flush Studio in Manchester, UK. The band themselves have handled all recording and mastering duties

Mute detail summer European tour

Québec technical punks Mute embark on a summer tour of mainland Europe and the UK in July and August. Based around their appearance at Punk Rock Holiday, the band take in 12 shows in Germany, the UK, France, Netherlands, Belgium, Spain, Italy, Slovenia and Czech Republic.

Darko (Melodic Hardcore, UK) Stream Video for “Life Blood”

One of the UK’s most exciting modern melodic hardcore bands have just released a video for the third single on their debut full-length record Bonsai Mammoth. “Lifeblood” sees the band in an altogether more shadowy context than fans might be accustomed to but the visuals complement the track’s introspective message well. You can watch the video in full below.

Main Line 10 (Melodic Hardcore, Spain) Stream Teaser Track From Forthcoming Record “The Fox”

Spanish melodic hardcore unit Main Line 10 have announced that they’ll release their next record on April 11. It’ll be titled The Fox. For fans who can’t wait those couple of days, however, the band have been good enough to throw up a track as a sample of things to come. You can listen to “Voices and Souls” below.

The previous release from Mainline 10 was the 2016 EP, Sharks.
