Photo Gallery : Street Dogs at Slim’s. San Francisco, California. March 16, 2012

The weekend of St. Patrick’s Day, Boston-based Street Dogs performed at the legendary Slim’s in San Francisco.

Issues at the door kept me from seeing the openers Murder The Stout kick off the night, but I was inside to catch a fair amount of Old Man Markley‘s set. I have seen this band several times and they always have a great stage presence and vibe.

Devils Brigade followed, and got the crowd ready for the always-rowdy Street Dogs. The band is celebrating their 10th year of being together, and show no signs of stopping.

Check out some live shots Dying Scene was able to grab during Street Dogs’ set here.

You can view photos from Old Man Markley’s set here, Devils Brigade here, as well as a complete gallery of Street Dogs photos here.

Street Dogs are planning on celebrating their 10 years of bandhood with a live album and DVD.  Stay tuned to Dying Scene for more details on this as they surface.

Photo Gallery: Old Man Markley, No Use For a Name, and NOFX at The Fillmore. San Francisco. January 20, 2012

Last weekend NOFX played a set of sold-out shows at the legendary Fillmore Theatre in San Francisco. Support for Friday night consisted of The Bombpops, Old Man Markley, and No Use For a Name, while Saturday’s lineup changed with Ellwood, Old Man Markley, and Lagwagon.

I was lucky enough to make the Friday night show, unfortunately I missed the majority of The Bombpops’ set, due to idiot San Francisco drivers.

As I arrived, I quickly settled in, beer and camera in hand, for Old Man Markley. The band opened up with a great drinking song, “The Party Shack”, and warmed the stage with other tracks such as “Guts ‘n’ Teeth”, “Living & Learning”, and more.

End of set. Beer refill. Repeat. This time with No Use For a Name.

The guys set the tone with “Not Your Savior”, and followed with some favorites like “Dumb Reminders” and “Coming Too Close”.

What can I say about NOFX’s set. It was pretty amazing. Midway through, the guys slowed things down with a great cover of Rancid’s “Radio”, before Fat Mike ripped into “The Quitter”. And no night would be complete without Eric Melvin amusing the crowd with his wonderful accordion skills.

You can view a bunch of photos from Old Man Markley’s, No Use For a Name’s, and NOFX’s sets here.
