Lucero announce US tour w/ Titus Andronicus

Punk’s honky-tonk heroes Lucero have announced a string of tour dates with Titus Andronicus. The tour dates are primarily along the east coast and midwestern US.

Fucked Up and Titus Andronicus announce May UK tour

Two of punk’s more untraditional and progressive bands, Fucked Up and  Titus Andronicus, will be co-headlining a run of dates in the UK in May.  Only a handful of dates have been announced thus far, but you can find them here.

Fucked Up last released the well-praised album David Comes to Life in May of 2011 on Matador Records.  Titus Andronicus released their newest album Local Business via XL Recordings on October 23 of this year.

Ceremony to make TV debut on Last Call with Carson Daly

San Francisco punk band Ceremony will be making their live television debut on Last Call With Carson Daly. According to the Matador Records blog, the band will be filming their show at The El Rey Theater in Los Angeles on November 8th, 2012, and the filmed set will be aired on the late night talk show on an as-of-now unspecified date. Get ready to set your DVRs soon, because once the date is announced it’s sure to be a heavy-hitting time.

Ceremony is currently on tour with Titus Andronicus. The band released their fourth studio album, Zoo, in March 2012 via Matador Records.

Permanent Wave put together X-Ray Spex tribute album featuring Titus Andronicus, Franz Nicolay

“Rebel on the Underground”, the tribute album to legendary punk acts X-Ray Spex curated by feminist collective Permanent Wave, is now available to stream/buy via the label’s bandcamp page. The album features acclaimed artists like No Fun, Franz Nicolay with Emily Brodsky, and Titus Andronicus covering the classic “Oh Bondage! Up Yours!”

In honor of recently the recently deceased Poly Styrene, all profits from the album will go to the Sweet Relief Musician’s Fund.

Hardworking New Jersey prog-punks Titus Andronicus have released a free digital mixtape consisting of twenty-three otherwise hard-to-get tracks. Included are covers of Weezer’s “Undone (The Sweater Song)” and the Thin Lizzy classic “The Boys Are Back In Town.”
