Hawthrone Heights reveal cover art & tracklisting for upcoming album “Zero”; release teaser video

Ohio emo rockers Hawthorne Heights have revealed the cover art (pictured to the left) and tracklisting for their upcoming concept album “Zero.” They have also released a teaser video for the record. Click here to check it all out.

Here’s a statement from the band:

“Just to give everyone a bit of insight on the concept behind the record — Zero, at its core, is a story of good and evil,” explains drummer Eron Bucciarelli. “The setting is a dystopian future where a totalitarian corporation has risen to power in the wake of a disaster, “The Fires”. Zero is an account of the events from the perspective of the main character in the story, “Baker”. The album’s tracklisting is based upon those events.

“The story takes place in 2017 — or so THEY would like you to believe. In reality, the year is 2015. The people know little, they’re angry, and they know something isn’t right; that they’ve been lied to! Life used to be so nice, they used to be kids – driving around with friends, listening to music – no cares in the world. And as bad as things would sometimes get back then, they are nothing in comparison to what the people are experiencing now. This is only the tip of the iceberg. To delve deeper into the story, you’ll have to delve deeper into Zero.”

“Zero” is set to be released on June 25th. The band last released “Hope” in 2012 through Cardboard Empire.

Hawthorne Heights sign to Sony’s Red River Entertainment, begin recording next album

Hawthorne Heights have announced that they have inked a deal with the Sony/RED distributed label Red River Entertainment, and have been in the studio recording a new album with producer Brian Virtue (30 Seconds to Mars, Chevelle, Audioslave), which will be released this summer, right in time for this year’s Warped Tour. Here’s what the band had to say:

“We’re really excited to be working with Red River and Sony RED!  Our biggest successes have been done while working with some of the same people at RED.  Life as an independent artist had its bonuses, but there were a lot of things that were simply unattainable during that period of our career – working with a top tier producer such as Brian Virtue and the exposure that RED distribution offers, being two prime examples.  Our new album is going to take a lot of people by surprise and with the team we have in place, we’ve never been as hopeful for the future as we are right now!”

Bob Frank, Red River Entertainment founder, adds, “Hawthorne Heights is in a great place as a band and we believe their biggest successes are ahead of them.”
