Chiodos have made two announcements today.  First, they have released a music video for their new song “Why The Munsters Matter” off their upcoming album Devil.

The band has also announced a string of tour dates for “The Devil’s Dance Tour 2014.”

Chiodos release “making-of” video for upcoming album “Devil”

Chiodos have released a “making-of” video about their upcoming album, Devil, which is due on April 1st via Razor & Tie / drk/lght records. You can check it out below.

This will be the first album from Chiodos since 2010′s Illuminaudio, and the first since adding former Fall Of Troy frontman Thomas Erak.

Devil will also be the first Chiodos album with Chris Owens on vocals since 2007′s Bone Palace Buffet.



Chiodos release details of new album – “Devil”; debut video for “Ole Fishlips Is Dead Now”

Chiodos are releasing full details about their upcoming new album, entitled Devil, which is due out on April 1st via Razor & Tie / drk/lght records.

The Used, Chiodos, Handguns & more added to lineup for South By So What?! 2014

A bunch have bands have been added to the 2014 edition of South By So What?! Festival, including The Used, Chiodos, Handguns, The Story So Far, The Devil Wears Prada, Counterparts, and a bunch of others.

South By So What?! 2014 will be taking place on March 14th, 15th, and 16th at Quiktrip Park in Grand Prairie, Texas. Tickets and VIP passes can be purchased on Ticketfly.

Chiodos to begin recording new album on September 1st

According to a recent tweetChiodos will be heading back into the studio to begin recording their new album, which will be their first release with Razor & Tie Records, on September 1st:

THE DATE HAS BEEN SET! On September 1st we go into the studio to begin recording our new album!

We’ll keep you posted as more details on the band’s new album surface. Chiodos’ last release was 2010’s “Illuminaudio.”



Chiodos sign to Razor and Tie Records

For their upcoming record, the Chiodos have signed to Razor and Tie records.  The band plans to record the album after Warped Tour this year, and will be making their own imprint.  Keyboardist, Bradley Bel, said this of the signing:

“There needs to be more labels like Razor & Tie out there. I feel like they actually understand the bands motives and will do what it takes to help us present our vision. It’s going to be a fun adventure that we are about to embark on with them.”

The band’s last album, “Illuminaudio”, was released in 2010.

Chiodos, Reel Big Fish, We Came As Romans and more added to Warped Tour lineup

In the seventh of fifteen band announcements, the Vans Warped Tour has announced that Alvarez Kings, Chiodos, Young London, We Came As Romans, Reel Big Fish, and Beebs And Her Money Makers will be joining the 2013 tour.

The tour runs from June 15th through August 4th and show details and ticket info can be found on the Warped tour dates page.

Chiodos enlist Thomas Erak (The Fall of Troy) as new guitarist

Post-hardcore band Chiodos have announced that they’ve added Thomas Erak (former front-man of The Fall of Troy, current front-man of Just Like Vinyl) as an official member of the band. You can check out the official “Welcome” video right here.

Chiodos made mention of demoing new songs back in September 2012 for a tentative 2013 release.



Chiodos perform new song “Fragile” acoustic

While at the Detroit, MI date of the “An Evening With Craig Owens” solo tour Craig and Bradley Bell performed a new Chiodos song entitled “Fragile.”

Craig Owens (Choidos) making acting debut in “K-11”

Chiodos-frontman-slash-D.R.U.G.S.-frontman-slash-solo-artist Craig Owens is adding another “slash” to his resume: professional actor.

It seems Owens is set to make his feature film debut in the upcoming independent drama K-11. The film “deals with the politics of race and gender-identity in the Los Angeles County Men’s Central Jail.” Owens plays a singer/songwriter in the film, and appears alongside Goran Visnjic (ER), D. B. Sweeney (Hard Ball) and Jason Mewes (“Jay” from the Jay and Silent Bob duo). Check out the trailer here.



Chiodos announce UK tour dates

Newly re-Craig-Owens’d post-hardcore act Chiodos have announced that they’ll be featured on the upcoming Kerrang! tour in the UK. The tour is set to kick off February 3rd in Cardiff. Click here for the full rundown.

Chiodos are busy writing and recording new material. Their next release will be their first with Owens since 2007’s “Bone Palace Ballet.”



Chiodos demoing new material “every day”

In a recent post on his Twitter, Craig Owens stated that Chiodos have been demoing new material for their first album since his reunion with the band “every day”. He wrote:

“so, we may or may not have built a @chiodos studio in my basement. we also may or may not be recording demos in it everyday.”

The new album, which currently has no release date, will be the follow-up to 2010’s Illuminaudio, and their first with Owens on vocals since 2007’s Bone Palace Ballet.
