California screamo band A Skylit Drive have debuted the title track from their forthcoming Tragic Hero Records release. It’s entitled “Rise,” and you can check it out here.

In other A Skylit Drive news, the band have started to announce tour dates in support of their new album. Click here for details of the tour, which also features I The Mighty, Wolves At The Gate and For All Those Sleeping.

“Rise,” the song, will be available August 8th. “Rise,” the album, is slated for a September 24th release.



A Skylit Drive announce new album and tour

California screamo band A Skylit Drive have a lot of news for you today.

First up, the band are set to release a brand new album. It’ll be called “Rise,” at it’s slated for a September 24th release via Tragic Hero Records. No word on pre-order options yet, but we’ll keep you posted.

Second up, the band have announced a headlining tour in support of “Rise.” They’ve dubbed their jaunt the “Rise Up Tour,” and it’ll feature support from Wolves At The Gate, For All Those Sleeping and I The Mighty. While we know the tour will take place this Fall, no actual dates have been announced yet. So…stay tuned for that.

The band’s most recent studio album Identity on Fire was released on February 2011 on Fearless Records.

A Skylit Drive release lyric video, announce new album

A Skylit Drive announced that they have returned to Tragic Hero Records and will be releasing a new album in 2013. They also released a lyric video for the track “Fallen,” which will appear on the upcoming record. Check that out here.

A Skylit Drive to release new album next year?

A Skylit Drive just posted an image on their Facebook page which simply says “A Skylit Drive 2013”. This indicates that they are planning to release a new album next year. Underneath the picture, they wrote the caption “I hope you’re ready”.

No further more details are available at this time, but when more info surfaces we’ll post it here on Dying Scene.

The band’s most recent studio album Identity on Fire was released on February 15th of last year on Fearless Records.



Stray From The Path cover Rage Against the Machine’s “Vietnow”

LA pop-punks Margate, California screamo outfit A Skylit Drive and hardcore punk band Death By Stereo are among the bands slated to appear on the upcoming Band For A Cure Compilation.

Band For A Cure is a non-profit geared toward assisting in cancer treatment and research through music. No specific release date or information has been announced yet, but we’ll keep you posted. In the meantime, visit the Band For A Cure website to find out more about it and hear samples from the artists involved.

On November 21st Fearless Records will be releasing “Punk Goes Pop 4,” the latest in their “Punk Goes…” compilations.  One of the songs on the comp will be a cover of Eminem’s “Love The Way You Lie” recorded by California screamo band A Skylit Drive. Today’s dose of News That You Probably Don’t Care About comes in the form of Fearless Records‘ announcement that they will be releasing “Punk Goes Pop Volume 4” on November 22nd. A Skylit Drive announce European tour dates

2011 is shaping up to be a rather busy year for the boys in A Skylit Drive. The California-based band, who recently completed a tour with Underoath and Thursday and released their third studio album (“Identity On Fire”), will head to Europe this fall after completing the Warped Tour this summer.

The three-week jaunt will feature dates throughout the UK, Germany, France, Belgium, Switzerland, Netherlands and Italy. Click here for the full itinerary.
