Remember when we had a semi-regular podcast that featured new music from emerging acts, news and stories from around the Scene and band/artist interviews? Yea…those were simpler times… But fret not, faithful readers/listeners, we jumped on the reboot bandwagon and returned with a new and improved version of Dying Scene Radio! That’s right gang, we’ve done a complete overhaul! With two, all new hosts, a slick, new streamlined format for more cohesion, and far, far less vitriolic politics, we know you’re going to dig DSR 2.0! For our debut episode, we sent one of our new hosts, AnarchoPunk to Studio City to meet up with Kevin Besignano and Derik Envy from Los Angeles’ premiere punk rock act True Rivals. Not only did he get the skinny on their new EP, but AP also recorded an incredible acoustic set with ’em! So, without further adieu we present you with the new Dying Scene Radio! Hot on the heels of their absolutely ripping single from the band’s forthcoming 7th LP, perennial Canadian raconteurs and riot-starters Propagndhi have announced their tour plans for the fall!
Providing east coast (best coast/fuck you) support will be Iron Chic, Spain’s Gas Drummers and Heartsounds. On west coast lead-off will be RVIVR and Bad Cop/Bad Cop. No matter your coast, the show will be a blast. Check out the tour dates and venues below.
Victory Lap drops on September 29th, through Epitaph Records. As an added bonus, the album will be the first to feature the new guitarist and one time fan in the crowd, Sulynn Hago. That’s worth the admission price right there…how many of us dream of being picked up as an axe for our favorite band?

Holy shit, this Monday just got so much better! Canadian punk legends Propagandhi have officially announced the details of their first new album in nearly five years.
“Victory Lap” will be released September 29th through Epitaph Records and to get you truly fired the F up you can stream the album’s title track below. I’m on my 3rd consecutive listen and can officially say that if the rest of the album is half as good as this track then the wait will have been worth it.
“Victory Lap” will be the band’s first new release since 2012’s “Failed States” which was also put out on Epitaph. Pre-order the new album on vinyl here.
“Victory Lap” also marks Propagandhi’s first album with new guitarist Sulynn Hago, who joins Samolesky, frontman Chris Hannah, and bassist Todd Kowalski. Replacing longtime guitarist David Guillas (who appears on several tracks on Victory Lap), Hago was added to the lineup after Propagandhi put out a call for audition tapes and received over 400 responses.
“The new Propagandhi record is finished and being mastered at The Blasting Room, we have no doubt that it’s a great one! This summer, while we’re waiting for it to be released, we’ll be playing a few shows. One of those will be in Wiesbaden with our friends from Useless I.D. and La Armada! We’ can’t wait to see those bands and partake in some serious rocking! Have a good one, everybody!”
There’s no word yet on a title and release date for the new album, but we’ll keep you posted as more details come to light.

Europe’s most idyllic punk rock gathering has released its full lineup and oh boy is it a cracker. Prominent acts making the trip to the picturesque alpine valleys of Tolmin include The Offspring, Propagandhi, Face to Face, Anti-Flag, and Less Than Jake. Of course, as well as these legendary ‘house hold name’ bands, there will also be a whole host of lesser known groups gracing the frankly beautiful Beach Stage. Acts here include the likes of Actionmen, Sombulance, and 69 Enfermos.
Unfortunately, the event sold out in record time this year so tickets are not currently available from the festival themselves but many of the Beach Stage have been issued passes for sale. The best way to go about getting one if you’re determined to be there is to add as many of the bands as possible and hound them for a ticket.
Punk Rock Holiday is held in Tolmin, Slovenia and runs every year in August. If you’d like to admire the stunning line up they’ve managed to put together, take a look at the poster above, or visit their website.
