If you haven’t heard the news about Crime In Stereo, I suggest you check it out now.

That being said, New York’s Crime In Stereo has posted a blog titled “The final video…”. Now, you might be asking, “What the heck is this final video?” Well, go find out! It’s like a secret video…so secret, we honestly cannot post it here. So you’re going to have to do a little work (but it’s worth it, for all you Crime In Stereo fans). Just go to their blog post right here. Bummer.  Another great band bites the dust.  According to facebook, twitter and myspace updates from the band’s profiles it looks like Crime In Stereo is no more.  The announcements don’t say much more than “R.I.P. Crime In Stereo… (2002 – 2010)” but if we hear any additional info we’ll let you know.

With less than a week until their album hits the stores, vocalist/guitarist of Crime In Stereo Alex Dunne sat down with AltPress. Another track from Crime In Stereo’s upcoming 23 February release, I Was Trying To Describe You To Someone. Click on over to the band’s MySpace to get a listen of Not Dead.  I Was Trying… has already gotten rave reviews from AP (4.5/5 stars) and Rock Sound said that it’s “a phenomenal album.”  The quality tunes just don’t stop coming from Bridge Nine, I tell you what.

Crime In Stereo has one stateside show left in PA on 13 February before skipping across the pond for a handful of gigs then return back to the US for a record release tour.  Be sure to peep our Shows page for a full schedule of dates (and go to one of the shows!).



More radical bands added to Harvest Of Hope Fest!

harvestofhopeDamn it, the list of epic acts performing at St. Augstine, FL’s, Harvest Of Hope Fest just keeps growing!  Just confirmed are 80s hardcore punkers 7Seconds (!), New York’s Crime In Stereo, Fat Wreck’s Smoke Or Fire, three-piece pop-punkers Brodway Calls, Matt Pond PA, Japanther, and Yesterday’s Ring!  Already on the tab are Anti-Flag, Doc Oc/Kool Keith, Florida’s own Dead Prez, Small Brown Bike, Mercury Program (more FL natives)… screw it, just go to HOHFest’s site to get the whole lineup.

The Harvest Of Hope Fest is a three day, multiple stage alternative music festival that will benefit and raise awareness for the Harvest of Hope Foundation, a nonprofit organization that provides financial, educational, and medical aid to migrant farmworkers all over the country.  The second annual event is taking place March 12th through 14th, 2010 in St. Augustine.

Crime In Stereo announce release date and title of new album

crime-in-stereoCrime In Stereo are releasing their upcoming album I Was Trying To Describe You To Someone, February 23rd, 2010 on Bridge Nine Records.  From the press release:

Writing and recording I Was Trying To Describe You To Someone was a grueling effort that spanned several months this summer and fall but the band’s hard work alongside Sapone (Brand New’s Daisy and The Devil and God Are Raging Inside Me, Crime In Stereo’s Is Dead) clearly has paid off: the resulting album clearly transcends anything Crime In Stereo has released to date and is sure to be one of the most anticipated releases of 2010.
