Family Meeting to split after release of upcoming EP

Toronto melodic punks Family Meeting are to call it quits after the release of their upcoming EP Walk Left/Stand Right, which is out November 29th on Thousand Island Records.  The band have released a statement about the split, which you can read below.

The EP is the below up to 2017’s No One Cares ‘Til You’re Dead. You can have a listen to advance track “Four Months of Rain” now.



Arising From (Melodic) streaming new album “Contemplating the Unknown”

Montreal based melodic-punks Arising From are streaming their latest release Contemplating the Unknown through Thousand Islands Records. The five song EP features that late 90’s early 2000’s melodic feel, while also dipping its toes into the Suicide Machines ska world for the second track “Was It You”.

Call It A Day (Skate punk) join Thousand Island Records announce debut EP

French skate punks Call It A Day have announced that they have signed on with Thousand Island Records. The French punks also announced they will release their début EP Mind The Gap on November 1st. The first track off the new album “For Your Safety” is a banger, featuring some laser quick riffs and some equally sharp vocals.

As mentioned above, this is the début EP for Call It Day. If you’re a fan of Ten Foot Pole or 88 Fingers Louie, these guys feature the speedy guitar riffs of 88 Fingers, combined with the classic delivery of Ten Foot Pole’s classic skate punk vocals.



Fullcount announce new album “Part of the Game”

Quebec City punks Fullcount are to release the follow up to 2014’s “Concessions & Compromises” album. “Part of the Game” is out October 12th. Full details of the album’s tracklisting and artwork are up on the band’s Bandcamp now.

Album pre-orders will be available via Bandcamp on September 10th.



Family Meeting (melodic) streaming single “Four Months of Rain” off upcoming EP “Walk Left/Stand Right”

 

Toronto melodic punks Family Meeting are streaming their first single “Four Months of Rain” off of their upcoming EP Walk Left/Stand Right. The band recently had a shuffle as their lead singer Josh Riley had to head back to the land of Oz and has been replaced with bassist Davey Knight on vocals.

This is the follow-up to 2017’s No One Cares ‘Til You’re Dead. No word on when the new EP will be released yet, but the band has just signed with Thousand Island Records.  



The Shorts stream “Ladies Night in Woomelang,” announce new EP ‘Bunker Monkey’

Australian pop-punk band The Shorts have shared the track “Ladies Night in Woomelang” from their upcoming EP Bunker Monkey. Stream that tune below.

The EP is set for an August 16 release date via Thousand Island Records. Their last studio release was the 2017 EP Chickenshit.
