Devo, The Casualties, US Bombs and more added to Punk Rock Bowling lineup

Some more bands have been added to this year’s Punk Rock Bowling. This year’s festivities will include Devo, The Casualties, U.S. Bombs and much more.

The lineup so far includes The Flag (original Black Flag members Keith Morris, Chuck Dukowski and Bill Stevenson with Stephen Egerton performing the music of Black Flag), Bad Religion, The Damned, DRI, Lagwagon, Subhumans, Swingin’ Utters, The Bouncing Souls and Lower Class Brats with many more bands to be announced in the months to come.

The Golden Nugget is serving as the official hotel. Weekend passes for the festival are $105 and go on sale Tuesday, January 29th at 1 p.m. (PST). More info can be found at punkrockbowling.com and we will of course keep you updated as more news is released.

NYC street punks, The Casualties, has just released the premier track off their upcoming album, “Resistance”.

The song is entitled “My Blood. My Life. Always Forward.”, and you can check it out here.

The Casualties to release new album in September

The Casualties have set Resistance as the title of their anticipated ninth studio album, which will be their first release on the label Season of Mist, who signed the band last May. The track listing can be found here, while the cover art can be viewed on the left.

Resistance will be released on September 25th, and will also be available in a limited edition digibox including the album itself on CD with bonus track, a bandana, a bottle opener and a full colour patch. A vinyl LP with bonus track will be released simultaneously.

The Casualties are currently embarking on a U.S. tour with Nekromantix and Down By Law, which began on the first day of this month and wraps on August 5th. Their last release of new material was 2009’s We Are All We Have, but they also released a greatest hits album called For the Casualties Army in 2010 on SideOneDummy.



Details announced for GWAR-B-Q 2012 (featuring GWAR, The Casualties, Lionize and more)

GWAR, everyone’s favorite “heavy metal holocaust,” have finally unveiled details for the third installment of their now-annual “stinking hot, beer and beef-smeared metallic murderfest of unprecedented debauchery,” the GWAR-B-Q.

The event will be held at Hadad’s Lake in the band’s hometown of Richmond, Virginia, and will feature “two stages, Spew-O-Lympics, numerous food vendors, endless streams of golden nectar, pools to cool your fevered sun-burn, and much much more.” Among the bands confirmed to be in attendance are The Casualties, Lionize, GHOUL, Black Naked Wings, and a bunch more. The Casualties, Nekromantix, Down By Law announce “Tonight We Unite” tour dates

The CausalitiesNekromantix and Down By Law will be co-headlining the Tonight We Unite Tour which will have stops throughout North America. They will also be joined by Lower Class Brats, Flatfoot 56 and The Sheds. Tour dates can be found here.

The Tonight We Unite Tour is an annual event that embraces both psychobilly and punk acts.

The Casualties sign to Season of Mist Records; announce plans for new album

New York punks The Casualties have signed to Season of Mist Records and announced they will be releasing their new album through the label.

Tour: The Casualties announce North American tour w/ English Dogs & Toxic Holocaust; begin work on new album

New York punks The Casualties have announced that they will be hitting the road for an extensive North American tour w/ English Dogs, and the infamous Toxic Holocaust.

When they get back from the tour, they are planning to hit the studio to record a new album, which is set to be released in the summer of 2012.

The Casualties announce European Tour

New York hardcore punks The Casualties have announced their tour dates for the first half of 2011. They’ll be flying across the pond to Europe until July. Check out the dates here.
