Video footage of Suicidal Tendencies‘ entire September 23rd, 1989 performance at the Country Club in Reseda, California was recently uploaded on YouTube (by user “Heavy Metal Relics”), and you can give it a watch below.

According to setlist.fm, the concert was part of the heavy metal convention Foundations Forum, and was Suicidal Tendencies’ first performance in L.A. since they were banned from playing there in the mid-80’s, as well as their first show in the United States with then-new bassist Robert Trujillo. According to L.A. Times, the show was opened up by fellow Venice crossover thrashers Excel, who were promoting their second album The Joke’s on You.

Infectious Grooves to reissue debut album on vinyl

Infectious Grooves — the funk metal project by Suicidal Tendencies‘ Mike Muir — have announced they will reissue their 1991 debut album The Plague That Makes Your Booty Move…It’s the Infectious Grooves on vinyl for the first time ever in the United States. Due for release on October 28th, the remastered vinyl reissue will be pressed on high grade glow-in-the dark vinyl and only 1000 copies will be available.

The Infectious Grooves’ latest album Mas Borracho was released in 2000. There are rumors that the band is gearing up to release a new album in the future, we’ll keep you posted as more details on it come to light.

Prior those shows, they will play the Mexican festival Corona Hell & Heaven in July with Rammstein, Twisted Sister, Five Finger Death Punch, Behemoth, Ghost, Sepultura, Fear Factory, Voivod and many other bands. Dave Lombardo talks about new Suicidal Tendencies album

Former Slayer drummer Dave Lombardo recently spoke to Metal Wani about his involvement with Suicidal Tendencies, including playing on the band’s upcoming album, which they recently began recording. He says:

“I think it’s very typical and very traditional Suicidal Tendencies. It’s that style. It’s Mike Muir and he was a very special style in which he writes his music and his lyrics and his structures. And I love it; I love it. It takes me back to how it all started, which was that punk attitude. I’m very happy to be a part of his organization. I feel very welcomed. I feel very much appreciated, and there’s a lot of respect amongst the musicians, and camaraderie. We have a really good time together. We hang out as a band, which is important; I feel it’s very important.”
