Murphy’s Law announce summer European tour

New York punk legends Murphy’s Law will be embarking on a tour of Europe this summer, which will include support from Agnostic Front, The Old Firm Casuals, Subzero, Ramallah and Risk It!. All the dates and locations are below.

Murphy’s Law have reportedly been working on a new album, which will be their first since 2001’s The Party’s Over. No release date has been set, but we’ll keep you posted as more details on the situation come to light.



Agnostic Front recruit guitarist Craig Silverman (Slapshot, Blood For Blood, etc.), announce European tour

According to a recent post on their Facebook page, Agnostic Front have enlisted Craig Silverman (who has played for a number of well-known bands including Slapshot and Blood For Blood) as their new guitarist. Here’s what the New York hardcore veterans had to say:

“Agnostic Front would like to welcome Craig Silverman, our new guitar player to the family. He is no stranger to the hardcore scene. A true veteran, Craig has played for Only Living Witness, Blood For Blood, Ramallah, Slapshot and many more! We are proud, excited and happy to have him with us on our upcoming tour in Europe this coming August!”

Details on Agnostic Front’s upcoming European tour, which will be the guitarist’s first outing with the band, can be found below.

It is currently unclear whether Silverman will be replacing either of the band’s current guitarists (Joseph James and Vinnie Stigma) or if he’s simply joining as a sixth member, but we’ll be sure to keep you posted as more details on the situation come to light.



Lineup announced for NYC Black N’ Blue Bowl (Hatebreed, Agnostic Front, 7 Seconds, Discharge and more)

The lineup for the 2014 installment of the Black N’ Blue Productions “Black N’ Blue Bowl” has been announced and it’s a pretty great one.

Among the headliners are Hatebreed, Discharge, 7 Seconds, Biohazard, All Out War and more. Oh, and the original Agnostic Front will be reuniting to perform “Cause For Alarm” in its entirety both nights!

The Black N’ Blue Bowl takes place May 17th and 18th at The Well in Brooklyn. More info is available here.

If you missed legendary New York hardcore outfit Agnostic Front‘s performance at last weekend’s Amnesia Rockfest, you’re in luck! A video of the band playing “Addiction” and “Dead To Me” from 2007’s “Warriors” at the festival has made its way online.

Agnostic Front released their last album “My Life, My Way” in March of 2011 via Nuclear Blast Records. Earlier this year, they released a cover of the Ramones‘ classic 1976 song “Blitzkrieg Bop”, which appeared on the “Respect Your Roots” compilation album.



DS Photo Gallery: Agnostic Front at Punk Rock Bowling (Fremont Country Club)

Following The Business at Saturday night’s after hours show at the Fremont Country Club was the legendary New York Hardcore band, Agnostic Front to headline, and round out the evening’s musical excursions. Even though it was 2:30am before the band hit the stage, the crowd showed no signs of fatigue.

If you’ve ever been to an Agnostic Front show, you can attest that they tend to be a little on the rambunctious side. The Country Club is a small venue, which made for quite the intimate show with my pitmates.

Agnostic Front to tour Europe this summer

New York hardcore legends Agnostic Front have announced a two-month tour of Europe, which will take place from June to August. All the dates can be found here.

Agnostic Front released their last album, My Life, My Way, in March of 2011 via Nuclear Blast Records. They recently released a cover version of the Ramones‘ classic 1976 song “Blitzkrieg Bop”, which appears on the Respect Your Roots compilation album.

Old school NYHC fans will know Agnostic Front as the gritty east coast answer to Californian hardcore.  They’ve just released a video covering The Ramones classic “Blitzkrieg Bop” live at Core Tex Kreuzberg in Europe.  If this doesn’t get you off your feet or singing along, there might be no hope for ya.

Agnostic Front is just coming back from a month long tour through the continent, and back in December they streamed the cover as a part of the “Respect Your Roots” compilation.

Agnostic Front are streaming a cover of the famous Ramones song “Blitzkrieg Bop” right here.

The song appears on Strength Records new compilation album “Respect Your Roots” released earlier this month and featuring covers from Rancid, Dropkick Murphys, Napalm Death, Generators, The Unseen, Freddy Madball, and many more.

As a follow up of the very succesfull “Worldwide Tribute to the Real Oi!” albums, the guys at Strength Records have now compiled a sampler with the scene’s best bands around today going back to their roots and covering the songs of their youth.

Each of the bands were free to choose whatever song they wanted to cover and were not restricted to a genre or a style.

The result is an impressive track list with a great variety of songs and is combining the best of hardcore, punk, oi!, rock, rock n roll and a shot of metal from some of the scene’s best musicians, including Agnostic Front, Rancid, Dropkick Murphys, Napalm Death, Generators, The Unseen, Freddy Madball, and many more.

“Respect Your Roots” is set to be released December 1st, and comes with an impressive 36 page full-color booklet with band pictures, info and a story from each band about the song they chose to cover.
