Tiger Army preview “Prisoner of the Night” off of new album

Tiger Army is putting everything they’ve got into their new album (including cancelling this year’s Octoberflame Festival), and you can now get a preview for what’s in store once it’s finally released.  Check out “Prisoner of the Night” below.  This is the first preview track that has been released from the new album, which will be called V…

V… was produced and mixed by Grammy winner Ted Hutt ( who has worked with Old Crow Medicine Show, The Gaslight Anthem, and Dropkick Murphys, among others).  Vocalist Nick 13 had this to say about the sound that they’re going for on the new material:

“Our sound has always been about a mix of old and new. But this song, like others on the new record, draws from the early ‘60s. It was a transitional period after the end of rock ‘n’ roll’s first wave, but prior to the British invasion. There was a lot of sonic experimentation as people tried to figure out ‘what’s next’? Radio singles of that era also went on to influence early NYC punk, so ‘Prisoner’ plays with that as well.”

What do you think of the new song?  Let us know!  The new album does not have an official release date yet, but we’ll keep you posted so check back here.
