Thousand Below release video for “Tradition”

San Diego post-hardcore quintet Thousand Below have released a video for a reimagined version of their track “Tradition”. The original version of the song is from their debut album, “The Love You Let Too Close”, which was released back in October via Rise Records.

Harm (Post-Hardcore, NC) Announce EP “What We Know is a Drop” and Stream Track “She Knows Who She Is, She Just Forgot For A Little While”

North Carolina post-hardcore throwbacks Harm are streaming a track off their recently announced EP. “She Knows Who She Is, She Just Forgot For a Little While” will feature on the EP What We Know is a Drop. Vocalist Billie Cloer explained the inspiration behind the release that’s due out on March 2, 2018:

“This record is about growing up… It’s scary and overwhelming and easy to lose yourself in it. It’s okay to not fully understand yourself or have it all put together, though. I don’t think anyone fully has a grasp on life—some people are just better at hiding it than others.”

What We Know is a Drop below. It’s the third release from Harm. Previous efforts included the 2017 acoustic EP, (Pray), and the 2016 full band debut (quiet) life.

The Elk Collective (Hardcore) debuts new single ‘Moshpittin on your Toenails’

Today we’re getting a first taste of Australian Hardcore act The Elk Collective. The band has just premiered its first single ‘Moshpittin on your Toenails’ and it sounds more than promising. The track is taken from the Aussies’ debut EP ‘Big Trouble’, out via all the regular channels on March 16th.

After releasing their Falling Fluent EP in October, UK post-hardcore outfit HABITS are embarking on their first domestic tour. UK post-punks Negative Space are streaming their new album “Gestalt”. The guitar riff heavy new album was released on December 8th through Drunken Sailor Records.

O.C. post-hardcore/emo act Movements have released a music video for their track “Daylily.” You can watch it below.

“Daylily” is taken from the band’s debut album Feel Something, which was released on October 20, 2017 via Fearless Records. On the inspiration for the song lead singer Patrick Miranda stated: My current girlfriend is the inspiration for this song. [During her ongoing treatment for mental illness] there would be a lot of bad days, but there would also be good days. She called the good ones her ‘pink cloud days.’ When she was going through another tough time last year I wrote this song for her.

Sounds of Swami (UK, Post-Hardcore) release new LP “Furniture For Modern Living”

Yorkshire, England based post-hardcore quartet Sounds of Swami have released a new album. “Furniture for Modern Living”, the band’s second full length, is out now and available on the band’s Bandcamp. The LP has been given the vinyl treatment, which is available for order as 180g, turquoise vinyl.

Post-hardcore act from the heart of Florida Capstan are streaming a cover of the late Tom Petty’s “American Girl.” You can listen to it below.

The band had a message to share along with the track: “A few weeks back music lost another one of its legends. Tom Petty is an artist we all admired, as he changed the music industry by doing things his own way. We’ve been laying low the last few weeks in preparation for some of the biggest opportunities this band has had. This downtime, coupled with his loss, inspired us to do something a little different. Tracked, mixed, and engineered by our own Harrison Bormann, here’s our take on “American Girl”. Enjoy.
