Rome Ramirez comments on possibility of Sublime With Rome reunion with Bud Gaugh

During a recent interviewSublime With Rome frontman Rome Ramirez was asked if drummer Bud Gaugh (who left back in December 2011) is out of the band for good. He replied:

“It’s not so much that he’s not coming back. Both parties are happy with where we are at. Never is a very strong word, so, I’ll never say never-to quote the wonderful Justin Bieber. I will say that we are really happy where we are at in the band with Josh Freese. Bud is in a kid’s band right now sort of like The Wiggles and I think he’s really stoked on that, we tour a lot, and he can be home more; so we are all happy just doing our own separate thing.”

Bud Gaugh has since been replaced by Josh Freese (The Vandals, Devo, Guns N’ Roses, A Perfect Circle, touring member of Nine Inch Nails, and session musician for The OffspringSocial DistortionSuicidal Tendencies, etc.). Sublime With Rome is currently working on a new album for a 2015 release.

Paramore have premiered a music video for their song “Ain’t It Fun”. You can check it out below.

“Ain’t It Fun” is taken from Paramore’s self-titled album, which was released last April on Fueled By Ramen.



Phantom Planet tease reunion plans

California’s Phantom Planet recently updated their Twitter account with a cryptic message that might suggest some form of activity under their name. The message, which is a reference to Phantom Planet’s last album, simply reads as follows:

“RAISE THE DEAD…”

We’ll keep you posted as more details on this story come to light. This is not the first time Phantom Planet teased or announced plans for a reunion. They reunited to play some shows in 2012, but have since remained silent again.



VERSA (formerly VersaEmerge) stream new EP, “Neon”

VERSA (formerly VersaEmerge) have finally released what I guess we’re calling their debut EP, “Neon.” It’ll be available for purchase at iTunes any day now, but for the time being, it’s available for ‘pay-what-you-want’ download right here. Or, if you’re so inclined, you can stream the three-song release below.

The band’s last album as VersaEmerge, Fixed at Zero, was released in 2010 on Fueled By Ramen.



Rome (Sublime with Rome) gives a behind-the-scenes look at the “Terrorista” video

Last month, Rome of Sublime With Rome released a music video for his new single “Terrorista”. Now he’s teamed up with Alternative Press to go behind the scenes of what it was like to be on set when filming the music video.

“Terrorista” is the first single from Rome’s upcoming solo album, which is said to be released some time in Spring 2014 through Fueled By Ramen.

VERSA (formerly VersaEmerge) push back EP release, preview track

VERSA (formerly VersaEmerge) have pushed the release of their upcoming EP “Neon” back to January 21st.

Rome releases music video for single “Terrorista”

Rome of Sublime With Rome is working on a solo career and has released a music video for new single “Terrorista”, which you can check out below.

Rome recently told Rapid City Journal that Sublime with Rome’s next album won’t be released until 2015. You can read his full statement here.



VersaEmerge announce upcoming EP “Neon”

VersaEmerge have announced their upcoming EP Neon is slated for a January 1st release.

The band’s last album Fixed at Zero was released in 2010 on Fueled By Ramen. The Another Atmosphere EP was released last year on the same label.

VersaEmerge expect to release their new album Another Atmosphere sometime next year. We’ll keep you posted as more details come to light on that.



VersaEmerge not breaking up

VersaEmerge guitarist/keyboardist Blake Harnage has shot down rumors that the band is splitting up after parting ways with Fueled By Ramen last August. Blake tweeted:

“Squashin the rumors that Versa is splitting. @8ierrakay & I will be making music together for a long time to come.”

VersaEmerge’s last album, Fixed at Zero, was released in 2010 on Fueled By Ramen. The Another Atmosphere EP was released last year on the same label. The band is expected to release their new album Another Atmosphere either this year or next year.



Panic at the Disco! release “Girls/Girls/Boys” video

Las Vegas band, Panic at the Disco! have released a new music video for their song “Girls/Girls/Boys”, from their new album, Too Weird to Live, Too Rare to Die!. The album was released yesterday by Fueled by Ramen records.

Paramore to headline four day cruise

Paramore will be headlining a four day cruise to a private island. New Found Glory, Tegan and Sara, mewithoutYou, Shiny Toy Guns, and Bad Rabbits are also on the lineup.

“Parahoy!” will take place March 7-11, 2014. More details can be found here.



Paramore already working on new material

Yes their latest album is only four months old, but Paramore frontwoman Hayley Williams just told ABC News Radio that they begun writing new material during their European tour. The band expects to begin recording after the tour. Hayley on the new material:

“We’ve never been the band that can write on tour, but we’ve actually already started writing just for fun. I mean, who knows if it’ll ever see the light of day but uh, really it’s like a new exciting thing for us to be writing on tour.”

The band released their fourth studio album, Paramore, in April through Fueled By Ramen.



Paramore win ‘Best Rock Group’ at Teen Choice Awards, perform “Still Into You”

Paramore has some new hardware to put on the mantle, after they act won ‘Best Rock Group’ at Sunday night’s Teen Choice Awards.

No new Sublime With Rome album until 2015

Yes, 2015 is still far away, but Sublime With Rome singer and guitarist Rome Ramirez has recently told Rapid City Journal that the band’s next album won’t be released until then. He explains:

“We have a studio rig with us on this tour and a designated room where we’re going to be doing pre-production for an album we plan on dropping at the top of 2015.”

Then he continued, “It’s kind of the starting stages. This tour, ironically, is going to really be the start of us all getting in a room together and writing an album from scratch. I’m excited to put these ideas into actual songs and have them recorded this summer.”

Sublime With Rome last released Yours Truly in July 2011 on Fueled By Ramen. Drummer Bud Gaugh left the band five months after its release, and was replaced by Josh Freese (The Vandals, Devo, Guns N’ Roses, A Perfect Circle, touring member of Nine Inch Nails, and session musician of The OffspringSocial DistortionSuicidal Tendencies, etc.).
