Woody Weatherman says new Corrosion of Conformity EP is “totally done”

In a recent interview with RevolverCorrosion of Conformity guitarist Woody Weatherman that the band has finished their recently-recorded new material, which will appear on their upcoming EP. Woody himself states:

“It’s totally done, mixed and mastered, and we just got finished with it this past week. And I think it’s coming out in about three or four weeks. It’s a pretty quick turnaround, which is unusual in this day and age, but they can do it, they can make it happen.”

Corrosion of Conformity complete new material

After spending the last four weeks in the studio, Corrosion of Conformity have announced that they are now finished recording and mixing new material for their next release, which is either an EP or new full-length. They wrote:

“It’s a wrap. Our still shrouded in mystery recording session is mixed.”

Corrosion of Conformity announce fall US tour dates

Corrosion of Conformity have announced a North American tour that will take place in November and December, with support from ASG, Royal Thunder, Saviours, Zoroaster, and YOB, although some of those bands won’t perform on the same shows. As of late, Corrosion of Conformity are back in the studio recording new material for a 5-song EP and apparently their next full-length. They have posted pictures from the studio, which you can find here. They simply wrote:

“Tracking some new songs in Raleigh, NC.”

Another update was also posted yesterday, which read “Mike Dean laying some bulldozer bass down on the new tunes.”

No release date for the new EP or full-length have been announced, but it a 2013 release date is likely.

Corrosion Of Conformity to re-release “Eye For An Eye” and “Songs With Mike Singing”

North Carolina metal act Corrosion Of Conformity have unveiled plans to release a remastered and repackaged version of their 1984 release “Eye For An Eye.”

Included in the release will be their “Songs With Mike Singing” EP (Mike, of course, is former lead singer and current bassist Mike Dean, who left the band from 1978-1992). For those who only caught on to Corrosion Of Conformity in their later years, “Eye For An Eye” features much of the band’s more punk-influenced catalog.

“Eye For An Eye” will be reissued November 6th by Candlelight Records. More info on the otherwise out-of-print releases is available here.



Corrosion of Conformity to play four U.S. shows with Prong

Corrosion of Conformity have announced that they will be playing four shows in the East Coast of the United States with legendary New York metal band Prong. All the dates can be found here.

North Carolina metal act Corrosion of Conformity have added more dates to their spring tour. After hitting SXSW and a bunch of dates in the US, they’ll head over to Europe for most of April, take May off and hit the road again in June.

They’ll play a show with Hail!Hornet in Asheville, NC, later this month then hit the road with Torche, Valient Thorr and A Storm Of Light in March.
