It’s official: Jawbreaker is back, and will play this year’s Riot Fest!

After years of rumors, speculation and teasers, California punk legends Jawbreaker have announced that they are finally reuniting. The band will play their first show in 21 years at this year’s Riot Fest as the headlining act on the festival’s final night on September 17th. More details on the fest can be found here.

It’s not clear if the Riot Fest performance will be a one-off, or if the reunion will result in a tour or new album. We’ll keep you posted as more details on Jawbreaker’s future come to light. The band broke up in 1996, a year after the release of their classic album Dear You.

AFI announce tour with Circa Survive

AFI have just detailed a tour (via their twitter) in support of their recent AFI (The Blood Album) full length. The dates are a joint headline affair, with Circa Survive. The tour support is Citizen.

Dashboard Confessional release covers EP “Covered and Taped”

Dashboard Confessional have released a 4 song covers EP, titled “Covered and Taped.” The release features covers of The 1975, Julien Baker, Justin Bieber and Sorority Noise. You can listen below via spotify.

Chris Carrabba, the frontman of Dashboard Confessional who performed and recorded the covers, had this to say on the EP: I love covering great songs by great artists, these are some songs I feel very connected to right now. Enough so that I felt I had a way of making them my own in some small way.

“Covered and Taped” dropped on the 18th of January, just after their current tour of the US began. You can find Dashboard Confessional’s current tour dates and locations below the stream.

AFI stream new song “Get Hurt”

AFI have made another track from their upcoming album AFI (The Blood Album) available to stream. Check out “Get Hurt” below.

AFI (The Blood Album) is set to release on January 27th. It will be the band’s 10th studio album, serving as the follow-up to 2013’s Burials.

AFI premiere music video for song “White Offerings”

AFI have released a bombshell of a music video for a new song called “White Offerings.” By bombshell, I mean that the video is so visually stimulating you will be forced to enjoy it. We won’t say much more, just watch it and see for yourself!

Fun fact, on the topic of the album, guitarist Jade Puget said:

Originally, we wanted just have it self-titled because it’s been 10 records and AFI has never had a self-titled record. But because the album artwork has these three blood drops on the front, we just started calling it The Blood Album. So people started thinking it was the actual title, and because we didn’t want to confuse anyone, we made it official.

AFI announce tour in support of “The Blood Album”

California punk/rock legends AFI will embark on a North American tour in January and February of next year in support of their self-titled new album, aka The Blood Album. Support on this trek will come from Nothing, The Chain Gang of 1974 and Souvenirs on selected dates, which can be found below.

AFI to release “AFI (The Blood Album)” in January

After months of rumors and teasers, California punk/rock legends AFI have just announced they will release their long-awaited tenth studio album AFI (The Blood Album) on January 20th, 2017.

The album’s track listing and two songs from it, “Snow Cats” and “White Offerings”, can be found below.

AFI tease first album in three years

Last June, we reported that AFI were working on their long-awaited follow-up to 2013’s Burials, but as of late, the band has been posting cryptic videos on their Instagram page since last Monday in anticipation of the record. They also released a picture with three red tears on a black-and-red background via Facebook page, and announced that they will be teasing something on Friday, October 28th, midnight eastern.

In addition to the teasers, AFI released a 43 second song called “O-“, which features the same three tears as the single art, although the tears are red on a dark background, whereas on the Instagram post, they were black on a red background. They also put the song on a playlist simply entitled “BLOOD”. You can check it out below.

When the new AFI album will be released is unknown, but we’ll keep you posted as more details on it come to light.

Jimmy Eat World detail new album “Integrity Blues”, announce world tour dates

Arizona legends Jimmy Eat World have revealed the artwork and track listing of their upcoming album Integrity Blues, which will be released on October 21st via RCA and will be the band’s first record since 2013’s Damaged. The album’s track listing can be seen below.

Starting tomorrow, just before the release of Integrity Blues, Jimmy Eat World will embark on a two-month tour of the UK, Europe and the United States. The dates and locations are below as well.

Jimmy Eat World tease new album

Arizona legends Jimmy Eat World have revealed a teaser video of what appears to be news of a brand new upcoming album. So far, the only thing fans are getting is an instrumental clip and some video footage on the band’s website, which prompts visitors to leave their email addresses and “stay tuned.” You can take a look at the clip here.

Hunter Burgan teases future AFI shows

AFI bassist Hunter Burgan recently posted a picture on his Instagram and Twitter accounts, saying that he can’t wait to play shows again. These posts indicate that AFI may no longer be on hiatus, and could have a tour or some shows in the works.

We’ll keep you posted as more details on AFI’s future come to light. Almost a year has passed since AFI went on hiatus. Since then, the band has been showing signs of activity under the AFI name taking place this year, including working on new music for the follow-up to 2013’s Burials.

Brand New, The Front Bottoms & Modern Baseball announce US tour

Brand New, The Front Bottoms, and Modern Baseball have announced they will be touring the US together this fall. All of the dates and locations can be found below.

Brand New’s latest album Daisy was released in 2009 on Interscope Records, while The Front Bottoms’ Back on Top came out in 2015 through Fueled By Ramen. Modern Baseball released Holy Ghost earlier this year on Run For Cover Records.
