Guttermouth announce scattered spring and summer 2013 tour dates

O.C. punk legends Guttermouth have announced multiple tour dates/shows they will be playing throughout the spring and summer of this year, including one show in Las Vegas with Strung Out. All the dates can be found here.

Guttermouth’s last album, Shave the Planet, came out way back in 2006 on Volcom Entertainment. They recently streamed three new songs (“Together”, “Runner Up” and “Bingo”), implying that a new record is in the works, but when it will be released is unknown.

The Queers’ “Don’t Back Down” was originally released in 1996 via now-defunct Lookout Records, and was reissued on CD by Asian Man Records in 2007.



Tour: Guttermouth announce more East Coast tour dates w/ The New Threat

Guttermouth recently announced they would be heading out on a run of Canadian and East Coast tour dates. Since that announcement, the band has extended the east coast portion of the tour, which they will be playing with support from The New Threat.

Guttermouth releasing “Goes On Vacation” documentary featuring lots of fighting, vomiting and drug abuse

Guttermouth, arguably one of the most feisty and/or offensive bands in punk rock, have announced plans to release a tour documentary called “Goes On Vacation” in which filmmaker Rhys Day follows the band unrestricted for nearly two months (16 shows) around Australia & South East Asia.  The full documentary comes out next year but the trailer released yesterday on BlankTV is packed with enough fighting, coke sniffing, drinking, vomiting and nudity to fully entertain (or shock) you for at least 5 minutes.  Check it out here.

The trailer comes out as a precursor to the band’s upcoming January-February tour dates in Australia.

Guttermouth/The New Threat to release split EP of new music

As we told you yesterday, Guttermouth are set to hit the road with The New Threat for a few weeks beginning August 20th. What we didn’t tell you is that the two bands will have an exclusive split EP available for sale at the shows, and that the split will include new music from Guttermouth.

No word on a track list at this point, but the Guttermouth tunes will mark their first new music since 2006’s “Shave The Planet.” The release will only be available at the shows at this point; word on wider distribution will follow at some point.

Late-night shows announced for Punk Rock Bowling weekend

If you’re going to Punk Rock Bowling and looking for something to do in the evenings after the festival, there will be a bunch of shows in downtown Vegas. Boldtype releasing new EP “Uneasy Days”, going on tour with Guttermouth

Fans of fast, melodic, Fat Weck in the 90’s, punk rock should check out this band.  Boldtype hale from Denver, Colorado and next month they’ll be releasing a new EP titled “Uneasy Days.”  You can give the new song, “Make Our Graves” a listen, along with tracks from former releases, on their official website.  Recommended.

Boldtype is set to hit the road next week as full support for Guttermouth’s 2011 Winter Tour on an 18 date road trip throughout the U.S. Mountain/NW region.  Check out the dates and locations here.
