Ontario’s progressive metal-punk act, Protest The Hero, are currently in the studio working on their newest album.  They haven’t leaked any info yet about the coming release other than it will contain more than 10 songs, but you can check out this video of the band laying down tracks and generally goofing around in the studio right here.

Canadian metal act Protest The Hero have released a pre-production video for their new album. The video features some really cool guitar & bass parts and they can be checked out here.

Music Video: Protest The Hero – “Limb From Limb”

The song appears on the band’s second studio album, Fortress, released in 2008 on Vagrant Records. The video was made after the band received great reviews from a video made in Utah while their tour van broke down. Check it out for yourself here.

Protest The Hero: European tour video

The video is pretty funny, but if you’re uncomfortable with blood… and people licking other peoples blood… there’s one clip you may want to close your eyes for. When you see the thumb, you’ll know. Protest The Hero: trailer for upcoming CD/DVD “Gallop Meets The Earth”

pthgallopProtest The Hero has a CD/DVD release coming out on Vagrant Records titled “Gallop Meets The Earth“.  It’s not scheduled for release until September 15th but today the band premiered the trailer for the DVD over on Revolver.

The band released their last full-length “Fortress” on Vagrant Records in January of ’08.



Live CD/DVD from Protest The Hero

pthgallopOn September 15th, Protest The Hero releases their new live CD/DVD: “Gallop Meets The Earth” on Vagrant Records. This 2-disc set includes footage of the band’s sold-out headlining concert in December 2008 at the Sound Academy in Toronto, a bunch of bonus features (like beer funnel adventures), hidden content, and even an angry letter from a fan. Sounds pretty interesting to me..

Their last album, “Fortress” was released on Vagrant in 2008.
