Solidarity Recordings planning Go-Gos tribute album

The crew over at Solidarity Recordings have announced the muse to whom they are dedicating an upcoming tribute album: The Go-Go’s.

The label has finalized a list of tracks and bands for the release that will pay homage to the seminal LA-based punk-turned-New Wave group fronted by Belinda Carlisle and Jane Wiedlin. No official word on the bands that are involved or the songs their covering (or whether or not the Go-Go’s approve of the release), but tracks have started pouring into the label’s offices, so it shouldn’t be long. Stay tuned; sounds like a pretty interesting release, especially for those of us who are *ahem* of a certain age.
