The Penske File announce US/Canada tour dates

Ontario punk group The Penske File are taking another trip south of the border this summer. Check out their list of US/Canada tour dates below.

The band recently wrapped up a string of dates with Boston’s Rebuilder. This time, San Diego punks Caskitt will join the band for for their California dates.

The Penske File last released Burn Into The Earth in June 2015 on Stomp Records.

The Penske File and Rebuilder announce East Coast tour dates

Pretty cool double bill coming your way, East Coasters!

Burlington, Ontario’s The Penske File are teaming up with Boston’s Rebuilder for an early June run through the Eastern United States. You can check out the full rundown up above (obviously), or check below for Rebuilder’s full upcoming tour schedule (which includes two shows in two countries on the same day in a couple weeks).

The Penske File are touring in support of their June 2015 release, “Burn Into The Earth,” which was released on Stomp Records. Rebuilder, meanwhile, are touring in support of last year’s “Rock And Roll In America,” which was released via Panic State.

EXPOSÉ: Road to Pouzza Fest VI series Part 1 featuring: Boids (punk)

Dying Scene has partnered with Minus2 Digital Media and Raw Cut Media this year to bring you a bring you a fantastic new series called Exposé: Road to Pouzza Fest VI. In short, this is a web based series that features live sessions and interviews with various local bands with the aim of promoting the fest as well as some of the emerging and international talent on the bill this year.

The first part of the series features BOIDS, a fiery 4-piece punk rock band from Montreal. Check out their feature in this intense opener to the 6-episode series below.

BOIDS released their latest album Superbafrango on October 16th, 2015 as a follow-up to their 2014 album We Stalked Each Other Like Animals. 

This year’s Pouzza Fest lineup includes Less Than Jake, Suicide Machines, Dead To Me, Flatfoot 56, The Copyrights, Night Birds, Sick of it All, and many more. Check out the full lineup here.

“Party Time Liars” comes off the band’s latest album Burn into the Earth which was released in June 2015 through Stomp Records.

Lost Love sign to Stomp Records, announce sophomore album

Montreal punk rock band Lost Love have signed to Stomp Records. You can see an announcement video from the label featuring a snippet of a new song here. Also announced with the signing is the band’s sophomore album, Comfortable Scars, which will be released on April 22, 2016.

Lost Love released their debut album, Sparkles, in September 2014.

Brutal Youth sign to Stomp Records, to release new LP next year

Canadian punks Brutal Youth have signed to Stomp Records. They will release their new full-length early next year. Make sure you check them out on tour with PEARS and A Wilhelm Scream.

The Brains announce tour and album release dates

Montreal horror-punk/psychobilly outfit The Brains are set to release their 7th album, Out of the Dark, on October 30th.  The band will then head out on tour for a series of dates in Canada with Los Kung Fu Monkeys through November, including the Stomp Records 20th anniversary shows.  You can find all of the dates below.

Out of the Dark will be the band’s first album since 2013’s The Monster Within.

Rats Nest Run-In announces 6 new bands

The annual Rats Nest Run-In car show (and music festival) has announced six more bands that will be joining the fun on August 21st-23rd, 2015 in East Durham, NY (upstate, near Albany).  The new announcements include The Koffin Kats, The Grizzly Band, Kyle Trocolla, Whiskey Kill, Dressed For The Occasion, and The High Five Revival.

In addition to the Rat Rods car show, burlesque, a pin-up contest, a tiki pool party, and pig roast, a number of rockabilly, psychobilly, and americana bands will play over the 3 days. The newly announced bands will be joining American Pinup, Creepin’ Cadavers, Those Crosstown Rivals, Pitchfork Militia, Lara Hope and the Ark Tones, and The Bothers.
