Dead Broke Rekerds announce new Failures Union album

Long Island based DIY punk label, Dead Broke Rekerds, have just announced details the latest release from Failures Union. “Tethering” will be available in Spring of 2014. For now, check out the cover art on your left.

New Video: Don’t (Portland garage punk) – “89”

New music video from the lady and gentlemen in Portland, Oregon, garage punk band Don’t. It’s for a track called “’89” and you can check it out here.

“’89” appears on an upcoming Don’t 7-inch, set for release via New York-based Dead Broke Rekerds. No word on a formal release date or pre-order info yet, but if you dig “’89,” check back soon!

Stream Husker Du Tribute – “Something To Du”

Drunken Sailor Records along with Dead Broke Rekerds co-released a Husker Du tribute 7-inch last September which you can stream in its entirety below.

The 7-inch features covers by Crow Bait, Tenement, Unfun, Bent Outta Shape, The Dauntless Elite and Your Pest Band.

Full Album Stream: Murmurs – “Fly With the Unkindness”

Seattle-based pop punk rockers Murmurs are streaming their latest album, Fly with the Unkindness, in its entirety. Initially a cassette only release via Stay Punk Tapes & Aborted Society Records, the album will be available soon on vinyl for the first time thanks to Dead Broke Rekerds (US) and Drunken Sailor Records (Europe).

Introducing New Garage Punk Act: smooch (free album download)

smooch is a new band from Long Island, New York, featuring members of Sister Kisser and Halfway To Hell Club. They play ‘garage punk’ (I don’t know how accurate that is) in the vein of bands like Toys That Kill and RVIVR. If this sounds good to you, head over here and download their self-titled debut album, which is being physically released sometime soon on Dead Broke Rekerds, for free.

The Steve Adamyk Band (pop-punk) streams new song “Monterrey” off of their upcoming EP

The Steve Adamyk band just released a new song called “Monterrey” off their upcoming EP on Hosehead Records.

The Ottawa, Ontario-based pop punk band is planning to release the 4-song EP in mid-July.  Their third full length, titled Third, was released on Dirtnap Records in February of this year.

Full Album Stream: Nato Coles & The Blue Diamond Band – “Promises To Deliver”

Minneapolis punk ‘n roll act Nato Coles & The Blue Diamond Band are streaming their upcoming full-length “Promises To Deliver” right here.  Pretty solid working class rock ‘n roll that I’m going to blast in my apartment when I’m cooking my spaghetti o’s tonight.

The LP releases this month on Dead Broke Rekerds/ADD Records/Eager Beaver Records and will be followed by a US tour. ADD and Eager Beaver are also releasing a CD.

Coles previously played in such groups as Modern Machines and Used Kids. Take that sound, amp up the Springsteen and Replacements, and you have yourself the Blue Diamond Band.

Dead Dog stream new album “Precious Child”; head out on US tour

Georgia’s Dead Dog, who just kicked off their summer tour of the United States, are streaming their new album “Precious Child” in it entirety.

Free Album Download: ExPlanets – “Debut EP”

Boston punk band ExPlanets has made their “Debut EP” available for free download on their bandcamp page.

The EP was originally released on cassette in May 2012, and is still available in that format at ExPlanets’ shows.

The band has stated plans for a Dead Broke Records split with Awful Man coming in the near future.

Unfun releasing “Northwest Solitude” 10-inch, stream demo of title track

Vancouver’s “melodic, rough-around-the-edges, drug-induced pop-punk” act Unfun have announced that they will be releasing a 10″ called “Northwest Solitude” on Dead Broke Rekerds.

Unfun released an EP through Dead Broke last Spring.

New Music: Don’t – “Out Of My Head”

If you have never heard of Don’t (as I had not), now is the time to check them out.

The Portland based, female-fronted band has a sound that is reminiscent of a time gone by, which you can figure out for yourself here.

Don’t is releasing a new 7″ EP through Dead Broke Rekerds sometime before the end of the year, and they have just made a new song available to stream.
