“Born of the Motor,” which will be the band’s seventh full-length album, is set to be released on October 22nd through Sailor’s Grave Records. We’ll keep you posted as more details surrounding the record surface.

DS Photo Gallery: US Bombs at Punk Rock Bowling

One of the fondest memories I have of the US Bombs comes long before I ever saw them in concert. Growing up, Tony Hawk Pro Skater 4 was one of my favorite games. I couldn’t get enough of it.

In fact, that whole series of games was responsible for introducing to many bands I would go on to love. And for those that played the game like I did, you know that the US Bombs’s song “Yer Country” was featured on the soundtrack. One of the best.

It was an amazing feeling to hear that song played live after all these years. I felt like I was in the game.

Check out some shots from the US Bombs’ set at Punk Rock Bowling here.

DS Photo Gallery: The Business at Punk Rock Bowling (Fremont Country Club)

Following The Unseen at Saturday night’s after hours show at the Fremont Country Club was one of my favorite bands of all time, The Business. I already recounted a story of stumbling into Mick Fitz pre-show, so once I had been able to get in, I was incredibly stoked to hear some jams.

They played the classics, Harry May, H-Bomb, Smash The Discos, Drinkin’ n Drivin’, and many, many more. The Business is one of those bands where I blast out photos as quick as I can, so I can put the camera bag down and get gnarly. It was a great show, but I still had to save energy for Agnostic Front, and whatever the rest of the night had in store for me.

Check out shots from The Business’s set here.

Details emerge regarding the death of Torr Skoog (Kings Of Nuthin)

More details have emerged regarding the sad and untimely death of the Kings of Nuthin frontman Torr Skoog.

According to the Valley News, Skoog’s body was found in the Quechee Gorge in Vermont after a three day search by police and firefighters.  From the article:

“Authorities have classified Skoog’s death as a suicide. Hartford Deputy Chief of Police Braedon Vail said a Massachusetts-registered pickup truck was found Thursday morning near the Quechee Gorge gift shop. The truck was unlocked, the driver’s door was open and letters were inside the vehicle that caused police officers to consider suicide was possible, Vail said. Skoog’s body was found on Saturday. Vail said Skoog was in his 30s.”

After discovering his unlocked truck near the gorge gift shop, authorities discovered letters inside the vehicle that led them to rule the death as a suicide.
