Silverstein guitarist leaves the band

Guitarist Neil Boshart has left Canadian screamo act Silverstein. The band have promptly replaced him with their touring musician, Paul Marc Rousseau. You can read a statement from the band here.

Silverstein to release new album next year

Looks like fans can expect new music next year from Canadian screamo act Silverstein.  The band made the following announcement via twitter:

1 Show left for the year, then it’s busy album-making time.. we’ll return in 2013 with a new album / new tour! Get stoked.

Silverstein release music video for “Forget Your Heart”

Canadian screamo act Silverstein announced on Monday that they would be releasing the video for “Forget Your Heart,” and you can now check it out here.  The song is from the band’s 2011 release, “Rescue,” on Hopeless Records, the band’s first full-length album on the label.

Silverstein has also recently announced a short tour with Such Gold, Daytrader, and Lions Lions.  Those dates can be found here.

Video: Silverstein get interviewed & perform acoustic covers

On a recent stop at Nashville’s War Memorial Auditorium, Silverstein recently filmed an episode of The Attic Sessions in which they discuss their recent “Short Songs” cover album. During the process, they also performed acoustic renditions of their tracks “Replace You” and “Sleep Around” as well as Pedro The Lion’s “The Longer I Lay Here.” Click here to check it out.

The album is being officially released tomorrow (February 7th) on Hopeless Records.

Tour: August Burns Red extends 2012 tour w/ Silverstein; adds I The Breather

Earlier this year we announced Pennsylvania’s August Burns Red would be heading out on a U.S. tour w/ Silverstein, Texas In July and Letlive. Today the band announced they will be extending the tour and have added I The Breather to the tour’s lineup.

Silvertstein streaming “Sin And Redemption,” “The Ballad of Wilhelm Fink”

For a total of a minute and a half of new music, you can stream two new Silverstein tracks, “Sin And Redemption” and “The Ballad of Wilhelm Fink” (originally by Green Day) here. The songs will appear on the band’s upcoming release “Short Songs,” due out February 7th on Hopeless Records.

The Green Day cover actually originally appears on a previous release of super-short songs, Fat Wreck Chord’s “Short Music For Short People,” which features 101 bands playing <30 second songs.
