Chris Conley, frontman of Saves the Day and current Where’s the Band? Tour fixture, took time out of his busy day today to perform three stripped down Saves the Day classics for the Nervous Energies sessions. Check out the acoustic tune-age here.

New Two Tongues album in the works (Saves The Day and Say Anything side project)

In a recent video interview Saves The Day frontman, Chris Conley, discusses the progress of a new Two Tongues album, which is his side project with fellow emo frontman Max Bemis of Say Anything.  Recording has not started yet but Conley states:

“We are 100% going to do another Two Tongues record.”

The interview also has input from Ace Enders (The Early November), Anthony Raneri (Bayside), Evan Weiss (Into It. Over It.), Matt Pryor (Get Up Kids) on the status of all their solo endeavors.  Check it all out here.



Saves the Day planning another album

Saves the Day vocalist/guitarist Chris Conley was interviewed earlier today by The NJ Underground, where he reveals his plans for next year. Although Saves the Day just recently released Daybreak, Chris revealed in that interview that another album is in the works, which the band hopes to record after their fall tour next year. He clarifies:

“I’m doing the Where’s The Band? Tour in January/February and then we head to Australia for Soundwave 2012. After that we have a few months off till we headline the States in May, and then we’re hoping to head back overseas for festival season in the Summer. After that, hopefully we’ll do a support tour in the Fall and then back to the studio to make the next record.”

Daybreak, the band’s last album was released last September, on Razor & Tie Records.

New Jersey based emo staples Saves the Day recently recorded an acoustic set for the folks at Alter The Press while on tour supporting their recent album, “Daybreak.” The band played “Deranged & Desperate” from that album, and “At Your Funeral,” from the band’s classic 2001 release “Stay What You Are.” Check out the videos here.

Thursday announces last Australia headlining shows with Saves The Day and Circa Survive

Thursday has decided to call it quits, but not before they play their last ever headlining shows in Australia this February. They will be accompanied by Saves The Day and Circa Survive.

Live Video: Saves The Day “Rocks Tonic Juice Magic” acoustic

Saves The Day recently performed a secret acoustic set, opening with a rendition of the song “Rocks Tonic Juice Magic” from their album “Through Being Cool” on the 12th anniversary of the album’s release, and you can check out the video here.

Beyond just a special event for fans, the secret show is helping raise awareness for Invisible Children, a group dedicated to ending the use of child soldiers in Africa.  The link to the video also contains more information about IC.  Dustin Kensrue of Thrice also recently performed a similar show in New York City.

Alkaline Trio and Saves the Day albums to be reissued on vinyl

Cobraside Records has announced that they are repressing two albums released in 2001 on limited vinyl: Alkaline Trio‘s From Here to Infirmary and Saves the Day‘s Say What You Are. The website Shop Radio Cast has limited mixed color versions of both albums and you pre-order them from that website. The reissues are due out November 15th and only 300 copies will be pressed.

Alkaline Trio released an all-acoustic album, Damnesia, on July 12th on their own label Heart & Skull Records, while Saves the Day released their new one, Daybreak, last month.

Rise Records details upcoming split with Bayside, Saves The Day, I Am The Avalanche, Transit

If you hadn’t heard already, Rise Records will be releasing a four-way split 7-inch, featuring one song each from Bayside, Saves The Day, I Am The Avalanche, and Transit. That was announced last week, but today the label has released the cover art, which you can check out <= yonder, and the track listing, which you can check out right here.

The 7-inch will be limited to only 2000 copies, and will be available in late October or early November.



Rise Records to release Bayside/ Saves The Day/ I Am The Avalanche/ Transit split

Rise Records will be releasing a four-way split 7-inch, which will feature one song each from Bayside, Saves The Day, I Am The Avalanche, and Transit. The 7-inch will be limited to only 2000 copies, and will be available in either October or November.
