Set Your Goals cancel shows

set-your-goals1So for those of you who were excited to see Set Your Goals this week on the AP Fall Ball Tour, don’t get too excited. Unfortunately, one of the members is ill and can’t perform. The band plans to rejoin the tour this upcoming Monday. Hopefully, the one who is sick has a fast recovery.

Set Your Goals “Summer Jam” video premiere

epitaph46Set Your Goals have released their music video for “Summer Jam” which is off their last album “This Will Be The Death Of Us” dropped this past July on Epitaph Records. The video features a bunch of clips from shows, the road and behind the scenes and you can check it out here.

Set Your Goals and You Me At Six on AP Fall Tour

fallball-logoAP is having their first ever fall tour and they are making sure to start off with a bang. “The Fall Ball” tour goes from September to November as it makes its way across North America. The line-up will include Set Your Goals, You Me At Six, Mayday Parade, The Academy Is…, and The Secret Handshake.

This tour doesn’t just have a good line-up, AP is throwing in a twist. To give the fans a little more incentive to come to the shows they are offering backstage passes to the fan who comes dressed up in their “best formal threads”. Also up for grabs are a photo shoot featured on Altpress.com, exclusive AP tour merch, free posters and more. The Swellers hit the road

Set Your Goals performs on Fuel TV

You can watch them play “Summer Jam” which is off their new album ‘This Will Be The Death Of Us” as well as the first track on the album “This Will Be The Death Of Us”. The new album was released on July 21st on Epitaph records.

The Academy Is.. joins AP’s Fall Ball tour

fueled-by-ramen-logo10The Academy Is… just announced they will be heading out on The Fall Ball tour presented by Alternative Press. Joining them will be You Me At Six, The Secret Handshake, and Set Your Goals. You can click here to see a video the boys posted to announce this tour.

This is a line-up I don’t want to miss..so I’m sure you feel the same way (…that is if you like emo bands; which I know most of you do whether you admit it or not). The tour dates haven’t been released yet, but check back to the Dying Scene show’s section to find out when this tour is coming your way.

In 2008, The Academy Is… released their latest album, “Fast Times At Barrington High” on Fueled By Ramen.



Set Your Goals: New Album Out Today

setyourgoals1Today is the day the new album by Set Your Goals comes out on Epitaph Records. The album is called “This Will Be The Death Of Us” and you can hear two of its songs “Gaia Bleeds” and numero uno on the album “This Will Be The Death Of Us” by headin over to their myspace page. This album has lots of guest vocals such as Haley Williams of Paramore, Vinnie Caruana of I Am The Avalanche (featured on the track “This Will Be The Death Of Us”) and New Found Glory’s Chad Gilbert (featured on the track “Our Ethos: A Legacy To Pass On”).

Set Your Goal’s last album “Mutiny” came out on Eulogy Records May 27th, 2008.
