New Music: Sights And Sounds (feat. Comeback Kid’s Andrew Neufeld) stream title track from upcoming album, “No Virtue”

It’s been quite a long time – years, in fact – since we’ve had a new release from Canadian rockers Sights & Sounds, but that’s all about to change. On October 11th, the quartet, which features Joel and Andrew Neufeld (the latter perhaps better known from his role as Comeback Kid‘s frontman), Matt Howes and Dave Grabowski,  are slated to release their sophomore album. It’s called No Virtue, and as a tease, you can stream the album’s title track below!

No Virtue marks Sights & Sounds’ first new music since their 2013 EP Silver Door, and their first full length since 2009’s Monolith. Pre-order No Virtue here.



Western Settings premiere video for “Big” off upcoming full-length ,”Another Year”

Western Settings are all set to put out their second full-length album, Another Year, this Friday, September 6 on A-F RecordsAnother Year will be a follow-up to their most recent EP, Old Pain, which was released all the way back in 2016, and produced by Tyson Annicharico (Chicken) of Dead To Me, as is Western Settings’ soon-to-be released LP. Western Settings is already in the middle of a 16-date North American run, and to mark this particular occasion in the band’s existence they are releasing a new music video for the as-yet unreleased, and arguably strongest single on the album, “Big” – and they are premiering it right here for all you famous, healthy undying scenesters. Get a load of the new video, “Big” below, and be sure to check out the tour flyer (also featured) to see if you can catch these guys in your town on their current and ongoing tour.

Manchester, UK hardcore band Guilt Trip have a released a video for the title track of their new album River Of Lies. It’s out now on BDHW Records.

Obey The Brave release video for “Calme le jeu”

Obey The Brave have released a video for “Calme Le Jeu”, a track from the Canadian band’s new album, Balance, which was released back in July. Have a watch below.

They’ve also announce a new bass player – Benoit Landreville has joined them as a permanent fixture.

Pop Punk duo The Dollyrots have released a video for “I Know How To Party”. The track is from their current album, Daydream Explosion, out now on Wicked Cool Records.

The Palatines release video and announce new EP

South Texas pop-punks The Palatines have released a video for their new song “Vacation to Hellheim”. The song just so happens to be the title track to the band’s upcoming new EP. The video features an exorcism, a rad live concert in someones bedroom and some holy mothers getting supernaturally smashed about.

The new EP is due out September 24th, the last release for The Palatines was Death From Below back in 2018. If you’re into Face to Face or Teenage Bottlerocket, give these guys a lookski. 



Omnigone (Ex-Link 80) releases video for “Rewrite History”

Ska upstarts Omnigone have released a video for their song “Rewrite History”. The song comes off the band’s upcoming album No Faith, which will hit the air waves September 13th and be released through Bad Time Records. The more I hear from Omnigone the more excited I get for this release, so it should be no surprise that I thoroughly enjoy the new tune and video.

No Faith will be the début album for Omnigone. If you’re a fan of Link 80 you will probably enjoy these guys (yeah, I know the dudes from Link 80!).



Save Face (pop-punk) release video for “Bummer”

Jersey punks Save Face have released a video for their new song “Bummer”. The song comes from the band’s split EP with Graduating Life. The video which is a shot of the band playing the song while an all out party is unleashed around them. All in all, it looks like a pretty great time. You can join in on the pretty great time, Save Face has a tour lined up later on this fall.

Hellbent (Toronto HC) stream music video, “King”

(FFO: Converge,Trash Talk) Toronto based hardcore act Hellbent has just released a new penguin-filled music video for the song “King” off their recently released 7″, Dead Off The Floor, available here from Pink Lemonade Records (North America) and Angry and Hungry Records. Hans Gruber and The Die Hards release video for “The Ballad of Burro the Man”

Austin punks Hans Gruber and The Die Hards have released a video for their song “The Ballad of Burro the Man”. The song comes off the band’s most recent release Hans Gruber and The Die Hards 2, which was released back in August on Paper + Plastick Records. The video is a throw-back to the spaghetti Western days, with the hero riding his noble steed across a rugged Western landscape, where our beloved hero is suddenly struck with a mental flashback to happier times perhaps. Singing with his comrades and grabbing a spin with a fair maiden.

Alright maybe it’s not all that deep, but it’s a pretty awesome song and video, so check it out below.

Audio Karate streaming new song “Sin Chuchillo”

California punks Audio Karate are streaming the new track “Sin Chuchillo”. It happens to be the second offering off of the band’s long-awaited, much-anticipated, new release Malo. The new album will be the third release for the punk veterans, originally recorded back in 2007 but never released, the album will finally see the light of day thanks to Wiretap Records and a little help remixing from Mike Jimenez (Rufio), the album will finally be released October 18th.

United Defiance (punk) signs to Thousand Islands Records and release teaser video

Cali punks United Defiance have signed on to Thousand Islands Records, just in time to hit the studio to record their new album. To celebrate the new union the band has released a teaser video for their upcoming single “Cool Kids Club”. In addition to all of this awesome news, United Defiance has announced a quick run of Canadian shows.

Nonstarter (melodic skate punk) stream music video/release new EP

Melodic skate punk band, Nonstarter have just released their debut EP, Seasoned Stuntman on all the usual digital formats. Along with that, here is yet another video shot by the band member’s own Open Ended Films. This one is for “The Dish” and you can view that music video below.

Montreal hardcore band Kennedy stream new music video for title-track off upcoming album, “Blood and Soil”

Canadian hardcore act, Kennedy are back with a new studio release called Blood and Soil due out sometime this coming fall. It will be the band’s first of such since their 2015 debut full-length The Guilty Poor which is available for streaming on their bandcamp page. In that time the band has toured Canada relentlessly, from DIY basement shows to maxed out theaters opening for the likes of Dillinger Escape Plan and Norma Jean, among others.

Kennedy has just released the music video to the title-track, “Blood and Soil” which highlights class struggle, and recent (yet persistent) aggressions from those traitors to the working-person, the boys in blue. Art and video direction were handled by Nick Pegg of Hashtag Hope with the help of one Joe O’Connor. “Blood and Soil” was produced by Felix Crawford-Legault, recorded and mixed by Ben Evans at Burning Room Studios, and mastered by Brad Boatwright at Audio Siege Mastering Studio.

Gary Yay (solo, UK) releases video for “Down On The Inside”

Gary Yay, who’s been in a ton of punk bands in the UK over the years (Telegraphs, Eager Teeth, Summerslam ’88, Poindexter and more recently as guitarist in Phinius Gage), recently released his debut solo album. When I Grow Up To Be A Man. He’s now done a video for a track from it, “Down On The Inside”.
