Harms Way streaming new song “Law of the Land” off upcoming LP “Rust”

Chicago-based hardcore act Harms Way has just premiered a new song from their forthcoming album “Rust”.

The track is entitled “Law of the Land”, and you can stream it below.

“Rust” was recorded at Bricktop Recordings by Andy Nelson (Weekend Nachos, Dead In The Dirt), mixed at GodCity studios by Kurt Ballou (Converge, High On Fire), and mastered by Brad Boatright at Audiosiege (Obituary, Nails), and will be released on March 10th through Deathwish Inc.



Details on Touché Amoré/Self Defense Family EP – preorders now available

Los Angeles screamo/hardcore group Touché Amoré have released final details of their upcoming collaborative 7-inch EP with New York post-hardcore band Self Defense Family. You can see the artwork for Self Love above, and the full tracklisting below.

The EP is due out March 10th on Deathwish Inc., and you can preorder it right here.

Self Defense Family will have another release coming out that same day. That release is a 7-inch split, with San Francisco punk/garage band Creative Adult. That EP is being split released between Deathwish and Run For Cover Records, and you can preorder it here.

Touché Amoré’s latest full-length album, Is Survived By, was released in September of 2013 through Deathwish. Self Defense family’s last album, Duets, came out on September 30, 2014 via Iron Pier.



Code Orange and Harm’s Way announce tour

Coliseum announces upcoming tour dates

Louisville hardcore punks Coliseum will be touring the U.S. (and one date in Canada!), starting at the end of this month.  You can find all of the dates below.

Coliseum’s last release was their 2013 full-length Sister Faith via Temporary Residence.



Self Defense Family announce tour and upcoming releases

Post-hardcore band Self Defense Family has announced the release of an upcoming two-song split 7′ with Creative Adult on March 10, 2015. Additionally, the collective will release another split, Self Love, with Touche Amore on the same date.

All of this follows the band’s last album, Duets, which came out on September 30, 2014 via Iron Pier. It shadowed their debut full length, Try Me, that was released January 7, 2014 through Deathwish Inc.

The group will be touring with Makthaverskan, Creative Adult, and The Solids this spring. Check out those dates below.

Birds in a Row finish new album, announce Australian tour

French metal/hardcore act Birds in a Row posted an update on their Twitter page, stating that they have finished recording their new album, which will be their first since 2012’s You, Me and the Violence. No release date has been set, but we’ll keep you posted as more details on the record come to light.

This coming January, Birds in a Row will embark on an Australian tour in January with Calvaiire and Colossus. The dates and locations are below.



Touché Amoré taking time off in 2015

Los Angeles screamo group Touché Amoré have announced that they are taking a break in 2015. I’ll let the band take it from here. The following is their message to fans:

Hello,

We would like to take a moment to thank you all for giving us an incredible last 6 years and 800 shows. We just ended this year’s touring in Gainesville, FL at The Fest and had an unforgettable time. Aside from an Australian tour in January 2015, we plan to take time off to remember how to live a normal life for a while. We hope you understand that for mental and physical health sake.. we need to relax. Many of us have ideas we plan to work on in our down time including side bands, label projects, design projects, and more!

Modern Life Is War announce 2015 European tour

Iowa punk rock band Modern Life Is War have announced that they will be going on a tour of Europe in April of next year. You can get the full list of dates and locations below.

After a hiatus that began in 2007, the band reunited and released Fever Hunting in 2013 via Deathwish Inc.

Rise and Fall calling it quits?

After 12 years, four albums and two EPs, Rise and Fall have announced that they have scrapped their plans to release a new album, and are apparently calling it quits or going on hiatus because of its members focusing on upcoming projects. The band explains:

“Remember when we said we were writing a new record? Well, we were,… and then we weren’t,… and now we have decided to shelve all Rise And Fall plans for the …time being. Sorry ’bout that. However there are 4 new bands with Rise And Fall members coming into fruition right now. So stay tuned to this page to find out what we are up to.”

We’ll keep you posted as more details on the situation come to light. Rise and Fall’s last album, Faith, was released on March 20th, 2012 via Deathwish Inc.



American Nightmare (Give Up the Ghost) announce 2 US shows

Boston hardcore outfit American Nightmare (also sometimes known as Give Up The Ghost) has announced two shows in the United States in January 2015, one at Webster Hall in New York City, NY, and the other at the El Rey Theater in Los Angeles, CA. Tickets for both shows will go on sale tomorrow, October 3, 2014, and links for tickets can be found through American Nightmare’s Facebook page. There are currently no plans for any other shows or dates.

American Nightmare broke up in 2004, although they’ve reformed a handful of times. The band also re-issued their albums Background Music and We’re Down Til We’re Underground on Deathwish Inc. in 2011.
