Swingin’ Utters have announced they will be releasing a new 7-inch, entitled “The Librarians Are Hiding Something,” on November 6th via Fat Wreck Chords. Along with that they have also announced that they have finished working on a new full-length.

Seminal punk band, Swingin’ Utters have posted a studio teaser. They are planning a new 7-inch this fall and a full-length next  year:

The band is currently in the studio recording a new album! It is safe to say the band has returned with more than a little gusto. We’re talking about Darius Koski, who’s been writing like a madman, a permanent new bass player, Miles Peck, singer Johnny Bonnel, who has his own design and silk screening business, drummer Greg McEntee, and then there’s the addition of Jack Dalrymple! Remember him from One Man Army, Dead To Me? Yeah, well he’s been in the band for years now, but writing for the band for the first time! Swingin’ Utters, if you have any coolness in you, should be one of your favorite bands. If not, pick up their records here and get ready for a new 7” this Fall and a new full length early next year.

Interview: Swingin’ Utters guitarist Darius Koski talks life, music, and plumbing

Guitarist, songwriter and vocalist Darius Koski of punk legends the Swingin’ Utters recently shared some insight on mixing punk rock life with working life, and you can give it a read right here.

Maintaining a day job as a plumber, Darius mentions I’m just lucky the guy I work for will let me go on tours, and if he didn’t then I would quit and find another job”.

Swingin’ Utters are already working on the as yet untitled, undated follow-up to “Here, Under Protest” released April 26th, 2011 on Fat Wreck Chords.

Swingin’ Utters working on new album

In a recent video interview done before a show at Slidebar in Fullerton, California Swingin’ Utters talk briefly about their favorite memories, a changing lineup and a few other odds and ends, but most interestingly, they mention that work has already begun on a new album.  The band already has a number of new songs written and are shooting for a release sometime in early Fall.
