Revenge of the Psychotronic Man and Bootscraper cover each other on “The Bear And The Tiger” split

TNSrecords has announced that they will be releasing a split with a twist from Revenge of the Psychotronic Man and Bootscraper on the 14th February.

Apparently at Strummercamp Festival 2013 Manchester speed punk band, Revenge of the Psychotronic Man and Leeds Aggro-folkers, Bootscraper started discussing the idea of covering each others tracks and putting together a split to document the results.

If you are aware of both bands you will know that their sound is very different, with Revenge of taking fast to a new level and Bootscraper producing a big mix of county, Balkan, punk, sea shanty, rockabilly, bluegrass, folk, gypsy and blues music. But this divergence of sound made the idea even more interesting and every single band member was on board.  18 months after the idea was born, here are the results.

Bootscraper have reworked three Revenge tracks and Revenge have sped up and shouted over four Bootscraper tunes.

Unfortunately, since the split has been recorded Bootscaper decided to call it a day playing their last gig at Pie Race Festival in Leeds. So their swan song is this release.

The split is available on both 12″ vinyl and CD and is currently available to pre-order from the TNSrecords webstore.

The Domestics (hardcore) stream new album “Routine And Ritual”

UK hardcore punk band The Domestics are streaming their new album “Routine And Ritual” in full below.

The album was released on Christmas day via TNS Records.  The label will also be releasing copies of the album on 12″ vinyls through Imminent Destruction Records, Kibou Records, and Orchestrated Dystopia Records.



Manchester Punk Festival adds more bands (Leagues Apart, Muncie Girls, Hindsights, etc)

TNSrecords, Moving North and Anarchistic Undertones have announced several more bands that are part of this year’s Manchester Punk Festival line-up. These include Leagues Apart, Muncie Girls, Hindsights, Bonston Manor, Simmer, Beat The Red Light, Holiday, Speed Dinosaurs, Tim Loud, and Skank Agenda.

These bands will be joined by the previously announced bands: Stand Out Riot, the Stupids, Vanilla Pod, Roughneck Riot, Bear Trade, Tosserlad, the Domestics, Acid Drop, 2 Sick Monkeys, Jenkem, Sombulance, Dead Neck, the Restarts, Wonk Unit, Crazy Arm, Almeida, Fair Do’s, Revenge Of The Psychotronic Man, Great Cynics, Throwing Stuff, and Wadeye.

The headliner to this expected 40+ band line-up has yet to be revealed.

The festival will be held on April 17-18, 2015 in Manchester, England, across two stages on Saturday at Sound Control, and supporting gigs at various smaller venues. For more information, check out the festival’s website.

Warrington folk-punkers The Roughneck Riot have announced some tour dates with Faintest Idea and Sammy H. Stephens that will take them through Germany in February.

Manchester Punk Festival reveals more bands

TNSrecords, Moving North and Anarchistic Undertones have announced several more bands that are part of this year’s Manchester Punk Festival line-up. These include Stand Out Riot, the Stupids, Vanilla Pod, Roughneck Riot, Bear Trade, Tosserlad, the Domestics, Acid Drop, 2 Sick Monkeys, Jenkem, Sombulance, and Dead Neck.

These bands will be joined by the previously announced bands: the Restarts, Wonk Unit, Crazy Arm, Almeida, Fair Do’s, Revenge Of The Psychotronic Man, Great Cynics, Throwing Stuff, and Wadeye.

On January 2nd, 2015, the headliner to this expected 40+ band line-up will be revealed.

The Domestics (hardcore punk) sign to TNS Records, announce release of “Routine and Ritual”

UK hardcore punk band The Domestics have just announced that they have signed to TNS Records.

To kick off their induction into the TNS family, their sophomore album, Routine and Ritual, will be launched on TNS for release sometime soon and can be pre-ordered here. The label will also be releasing copies of the album on 12″ vinyls through Imminent Destruction Records, Kibou Records, and Orchestrated Dystopia Records.

Warrington folk-punkers The Roughneck Riot recently jammed out a pretty sweet acoustic cover of NOFX’s “The Idiots Are Taking Over” in their practice space.  Check out a video of it below.

“The Idiots Are Taking Over” is off of NOFX’s 2003 album “The War On Errorism.”

Manchester Punk Festival announced (Wonk Unit, Fair Do’s, Great Cynics, Crazy Arm, The Restarts, etc)

TNSrecords, Moving North and Anarchistic Undertones have announced that they are joining forces to create Manchester Punk Festival on the 17/18 of April 2015. Across two stages on Saturday and supporting gigs across the two days there will be great bands from across the large spectrum of punk rock.

The Restarts, Wonk Unit, Crazy Arm, Almeida, Fair Do’s, Revenge of the Psychotronic Man, Great Cynics, Throwing Stuff and Wadeye are already confirmed for the weekend with more bands to be announced at the start of December.

A limited amount of early bird tickets are now available from the TNSrecords webstore for £10. The remaining tickets will be available from the start of December for £13. There are also various deals available that include t-shirts and hoodies.

TNSrecords is a Manchester based independent punk label that have been putting on gigs for over 10 years.

Moving North have being putting on DIY punk gigs in Manchester since 2009 and are behind the awesome ManchFester all-dayers. They have also recently started a record label.

Anarchistic Undertones also put on loads of DIY punk gigs in Manchester and are involved in the putting on Punx Inna Jungle.



Revenge of the Psychotronic Man reach out to fans for help to fix broken van

Manchester thrash punk band Revenge of the Psychotronic Man ran into van troubles on their way home from their most recent UK tour and are now reaching out to fans to help them cover the costs of fixing it. As it stands, the band will need approximately $2500 to repair their vehicle. In light of this bad news the group released a statement on their Facebook page asking for any kind of help ranging from donations to purchasing their releases from Bandcamp. Revenge of the Psychotronic Man (Manchester “thrash punk”) announce UK tour dates

Manchester (UK, not NH) based “punk/thrash/hardcore” band Revenge of the Psychotronic Man have announced a bunch of UK tour dates. The nine-date run is in celebration of the band’s tenth anniversary. Check out the rundown below.

Revenge of the Psychotronic Man’s latest release was their “10 Years Of Revenge: Still Getting Pissed, Still Talking Shit and Still Dancing Like Idiots” EP, released back in April of this year via TNS Records, which is also run by the band’s bassist/vocalist, Andy Davies.

The Roughneck Riot release acoustic version of “All That We Know”

The Roughneck Riot brought their British folk-punk sound to France for the Festival Couvre Feu earlier this month, and now you can check out a song from one of the festival’s Acoustic Sessions.  The band just released an acoustic version of “All That We Know,” and you can watch the video for it below.

The Roughneck Riot has released a studio diary video showing the recording process behind their third full length album, Out of Anger. The album won’t be released until October 13, 2014, but you can hear bits and pieces of new tracks being recorded in the video below.
