Punchline 13 (Pop Punk, Canada) Stream Single “Mirror” from Forthcoming Album “Newstatic”

Montreal pop punks Punchline 13 have a new single out. It’s called “Mirror” and is taken from the band’s forthcoming full-length album Newstatic. You can check out this teaser of the new record, which will be out in October this year, below.

The previous release from Punchline 13 was a Christmas single, Wham!’s “Last Christmas” last year.

Midlands hardcore outfit Last Hounds have a new single out and they’re allowing you lot to stream it for free. The effort is titled “Running With The Dead” and is the first since the band’s 2018 single “Handmade”.

Tragical History Tour (Folk, UK) Cover “Jolene” on Latest Benefit Single

Scottish folk punk singer/songwriter Tragical History Tour has just released a cover of the Dolly Parton classic, “Jolene”. It will feature on a forthcoming benefit compilation by Aberdeen-based label Struck Dum Records. The collection of tunes is titled Punks Versus Depression Vol 2 and will raise money for the Scottish Association of Mental Health.

The single’s B-side is a live version on the performer’s original track “The Fear”. You can check out both tracks below.

Cheap Gunslingers (Garage Punk, FLA) Announce Self-Titled Album on Rum Bar Records

Florida rockers Cheap Gunslingers have just announced that they will release their self-titled debut album on June 21. Helping the band with the release will be Boston-based  Rum Bar Records.

Bracket (Pop Punk, CA) Stream Single “Arting Starvist” From Forthcoming Album, “Too Old to Die Young”

Ahead of their latest album’s release date, California pop punkers Bracket are allowing fans to steam their newest single. “Arting Starvist” is taken from Too Old to Die Young, which is scheduled for release on Fat Wreck Chords on May 31. You can check it out below.

“Arting Starvist” is the second single from the latest effort from the veteran quartet. It follows “Canned in the Food Drive”, which came out earlier this year.



Stray From The Path detail live album

Stray From The Path have announced that they are to release a live album this Friday (17th May). The album, titled Smash ‘Em Up: Live In Europe 2019, is out on UNFD and was recorded in various cities on the band’s recent tour supporting While She Sleeps.

Pre-orders are up now, with a live video for album closer “First World Problem Child (Live In London)” streaming below.

Here’s one from the more dynamic side of punk rock. Anaheim ska-punks Hooray for Our Side have released a new album appropriately titled “Everybody Love Everybody” and it’s as uplifting as the title implies. A fun listen for any fans of Reel Big Fish, Less Than Jake, etc. Check it out below.

Bastard Radio (folk-punk) return with first new album in 5 years “Boon & Bane”

Austrian mostly acoustic folk-punk act, Bastard Radio, have broken what appears to be a five year silence with the release of their new album “Boon&Bane” which I recommend you give a listen to below. Great for a quieter mood without losing any punk creds.

“Boon&Bane” is the band’s first release since 2014’s “Sirens Of Truth” EP.



Stream “Buy In” from the upcoming Trashed Ambulance (Punk) EP, “Shorthanded”

Trashed Ambulance, a bunch of drunk punks from Alberta, Canada, are back with a new EP, titled Shorthanded, and you can stream the first song “Buy In” today. You can pre-order the EP and buy the single on the band’s official site.

There is some serious snotty punk energy on this release, and you’re definitely going to want to check out “Buy In” below.



New solo album coming soon from Vinnie Caruana (The Movielife/I Am The Avalanche)

Vinnie Caruana, front man for The Movielife and I Am The Avalanche, has a new solo album coming out this year. Vinnie told The Wasting Time Podcast this week that the new material will sound like nothing like anything he has released before. Vinnie’s last album ‘Survivor’s Guilt’ was released in 2016 via Equal Vision Records. Caruana also confirmed in the interview that he will be announcing a UK tour for later this year.



New single from blink-182 ‘Blame It On My Youth’

Blink-182 have finally released material from their upcoming album. ‘Blame It On My Youth’ is now streaming across all the main platforms. The band has talked previously about how the new album will have a similar experimental approach to the 2003 untitled album.

The band have also announced a co-headlining tour this summer with Lil’ Wayne.

Harvey Pekar (Hardcore) announces “Paris Green”; streams new single “Drag Hesitations”

Cleveland Ohio’s Harvey Pekar have signed to Steadfast Records and will be releasing Paris Green on May 17th.  The band describes the seven-song album as “thoughtfully brutal”. They will be touring this summer in support of the album.

The Dollyrots premiere new single and video for “Everything”

The Dollyrots are back with a new album (Daydream Explosion) on July 12th, but to tide you over until then, we have the new single and video for “Everything,” which has been released as a 7″ single.

The band will be playing an album release show on July 13th at the High Hat in Los Angeles, CA, as well as the 25th anniversary Warped Tour show in Mountain View, CA.
