The Swellers’ frontman Nick Diener recently performed a new song, entitled “Hands,” which will be appearing on the band’s upcoming EP, “Running Out Of Places To Go,” for Punks In Vegas.

Cute Is What We Aim For demoing new songs

Recently reunited emo act Cute is What We Aim For has announced that they have begun to work on demos for what might eventually become a new studio release. The band, which has reunited the original line up, is also playing a reunion show tomorrow night in Buffalo, NY.

No further information is available yet, although working on new studio material has a tendency to be begged to be played live so we’ll keep you updated on whether or not the band will continue to tour in the future.

The Swellers announce their own record label: Snowbird Songs

The Swellers have been busy lately, establishing their very own record label, Snowbird Songs, and will be self releasing their upcoming EP Running Out of Places To Go on it. The EP will be released October 16th, or you can pre-order it here.

Sublime With Rome frontman to hit the road again (solo) in November

Sublime With Rome frontman Rome Ramirez is heading back on the road this fall.  He’ll be making stops in the Pacific West, the Midwest, and the East Coast.  For full tour dates, click on this link.

Sublime With Rome recently wrapped up a month-long, cross-country US tour with a few dates in the great State of Florida.

Sublime with Rome, a perpetual source of controversy within the punk scene for their use of the sacred Sublime label despite now being only 1/3 Sublime, performed a cover of the song “Sour Grapes” during a show at Fort York, Toronto. Cute Is What We Aim For announces reunion show

Recently reunited emo act Cute is What We Aim For has announced that they will be playing a one-off show on September 21st at the Mohawk Place in Buffalo, NY.

Fueled By Ramen releases FREE Summer Sampler compilation

More and more, bands and record labels are offering up free downloads of music in exchange for little snippets of approval from fans.

Today’s offer is no different. Fueled By Ramen has made their Summer Sampler compilation available to download for free, you just need a Twitter account, and must respond to the label’s “tweet”.

The Swellers to record acoustic bonus tracks

In addition to recording a brand new EP, The Swellers are looking to record some bonus stuff for the release. Lead singer/guitarist Nick Diener tweeted:

“Recording some acoustic versions of new songs to add as bonus content when our new EP comes out. These are gonna sound great!”

No word on how the acoustic tracks are going to appear, whether as digital or vinyl bonus tracks, although they’re sure to be great once they surface!

The Swellers to start headlining tour in Australia this October

With their 10-year anniversary show behind them, The Swellers are looking to the future… and in that future, there is Australia.

The band will be embarking upon the Down Under for a headlining tour to start in October, and Aussie hardcore band Endless Heights will also be on the bill.  You can check out the full tour date list right here.

Cute is What We Aim For reunite with original lineup

It looks like Buffalo emo act Cute is What We Aim For are back together with their original roster. Several pictures went up on the site Pupfresh early this morning showing the guys together, practicing, moving gear, and doing other band-like things.

The group hasn’t made an official statement about their reunion yet, so we don’t know if there’s a tour or a new album in the works. We’ll let you know when we have more info.
