I The Mighty to begin recording new album in January

San Francisco prog-rockers I the Mighty have announced that they will enter the studio in January to begin recording their new album with producer Mike Green (Paramore, Pierce the Veil, All Time Low). The band writes:

“We’re very excited to announce that we’re going into the studio in January to make our 2nd full-length record with Mike Green (Paramore, Pierce The Veil, All Time Low). Mike has been one of our favorite producers for a very long time and we’re beyond thrilled to be working with him. The new album will be out in 2015 on Equal Vision records. Thank you all for being on this crazy ride with us! – Brent, Blake, Chris, Ian”

I the Mighty’s last full-length, Satori, was released last summer through Equal Vision Records.



New Video: Brent Walsh (I The Mighty) – “Default World”

Brent Walsh, frontman for San Francisco prog-rockers I The Mighty, has released a video for the new track “Default World.” Check it out here.

“Default World” appears on Walsh’s debut solo album, “7.” If you’re so inclined, you can stream the album right here – as long as you still have Pandora.

Walsh’s solo album was released November 10th on Equal Vision Records.

I The Mighty last released their album, Satori, last summer, also on Equal Vision. They’re already working on a new album.

 



Matt Pryor (Get Up Kids) streaming new solo album – “Nine Forty Live”

The Get Up Kids frontman Matt Pryor is now streaming his entire new solo album, Nine Forty Live. Check it out below.

The live album was recorded nearly a year ago (January 2014) in Lawrence, Kansas, featuring Pryor accompanied by a small orchestra. Nine Forty Live is out today on Rory Records, via Equal Vision Records. You can get a copy here.

Matt Pryor’s last solo release was November 2013’s Wrist Slitter.



We Came As Romans stream acoustic version of “Hope”

Detroit-based sextet We Came As Romans is now streaming an acoustic version of their track “Hope” and you can give it a listen below.

The original track was featured on the band’s latest album, Tracing Back Roots, which was released in July via Equal Vision Records.



Chris Conley (Saves The Day) performs acoustic set on Punks In Vegas

Chris Conley, frontman for emo/pop-punk group Saves The Day, was recently featured in the Punks In Vegas Stripped Down Sessions, where he performed 10 acoustic songs. The set was comprised of Saves The Day classics as well as some covers. Check out the videos right here!

Matt Pryor announces new album “Nine Forty Live”

Matt Pryor of The Get Up Kids has announced plans to release a new live audio album titled “Nine Forty Live” on December 9th of this year through Rory Records (by way of Equal Vision Records).

The album was recorded this past January at Lawrence Arts Center in Lawrence, KS and features Matt’s solo material accompanied by a small orchestra. Check out the track list below.

Brent Walsh, frontman for San Francisco prog-rockers I The Mighty, is now streaming his debut solo album, 7. If you use Pandora, you can listen to it right here. If not, you’re out of luck for now on the full album. But you can hear a few tracks and watch a video for “Free” below.

Video: The Fall of Troy play new song live in Dallas

Washington post-hardcore act The Fall of Troy recently debuted a new track off of an anticipated album at a live show in Dallas. You can watch the video of the song being performed live below.

Supposedly, the track is to appear on an album coming out this year, although nothing has officially been announced about a release date and 2014 is coming to a close.

This anticipated album will be the band’s first release since reuniting in May after the group called it quits in 2010. Their latest album, In the Unlikely Event, was released in 2009 via Equal Vision Records.



Music Video: Gameface – “Always On”

SoCal rockers Gameface have just launched their latest music video, which is for their track “Always On” from their sixth full-length album Now Is What Matters Now. You can check it out below.

Now Is What Matters Now was released earlier this year via Equal Vision Records. Since then, however, the group has also put out a 7″ record titled Regular Size, which was launched on October 7th, also on Equal Vision.

On the video, vocalist and guitarist Jeff Caudill commented:

One of the best memories of writing this album was all the nights spent hammering out the songs. There’s a certain electricity in the air when things fall into place – when everyone is on. Director George Nienhuis did an incredible job of capturing us rocking like nobody’s watching.



Chiodos and We Came As Romans announce co-headlining December tour

Detroit-based sextet We Came As Romans and post-hardcore band  Chiodos have announced plans to team up for a quick co-headlining tour. the jaunt kicks off December 10th in Pontiac, Michigan, and wraps up December 18th in Cleveland. Slaves and Sleepwave are coming along for the ride. Full details below, with ticket pre-orders available here.

Chiodos last released Devil this past April through Razor & Tie. We Came As Romans last released a live DVD entitled Present, Future and Past on September 2nd through Equal Vision Records.



Capsize release music video for “Linger”

San Diego melodic hardcore outfit Capsize have released a music video for their song “Linger,” which appears on their debut full-length The Angst In My Veins. You can check the video out below.

The Angst In My Veins was released on September 30th through Equal Vision Records. They will be embarking on a European tour in support of the album later this month.



Music Video: Set It Off – “Why Worry”

Pop-punk act Set It Off have released a music video for their poppy new single “Why Worry” from their new album Duality. Check out the video here.

Duality was released today through Equal Vision Records, and serves as a follow-up to 2012’s Cinematic.

Gameface release cover of Justin Timberlake’s “Mirrors”

SoCal rockers Gameface are currently streaming their cover of Justin Timberlake’s song “Mirrors” online. The song is featured as the b-side of the band’s new 7″ record, Regular Size, which was released today through Equal Vision Records. Stream the song below.
