On Friday, we brought you the first installment of our interview with Rob Lind (if you missed it, you can read it here).  If you read it, you now know where Rob has been for the past 8 years, and what led him to take such a long hiatus in the first place.

DS Exclusive Interview: Rob Lind (Ramallah, Sinners & Saints) is back and has a whole lot to say

Many of you have heard the music of Rob Lind (Ramallah, Sinners & Saints, Blood For Blood), but the world has not heard from him for nearly a decade, as he withdrew from the scene to sort out his personal demons.  Now, Rob Lind is back, with a Ramallah/Sinners & Saints split EP and at least one show scheduled, and he wants to tell you where he’s been.

Rob’s hiatus will officially end when he takes the stage with Sinners & Saints on May 29th at the Middle East in Cambridge, MA with  The Old Edison, Nick and the Adversaries, and Death & Taxes.



After the Fall stream new album “Dedication”

Albany punk act After The Fall are streaming their brand new album, Dedication, in entirety. Recorded in the Blasting Room, the album features Karl Alvarez (Descendents) on bass along with backup vocals from Drag The River members Chad Price (ALL) and Jon Snodgrass.

H2O announce additional 20th anniversary shows

New York hardcore veterans H2O have announced another string of 20th anniversary shows set to take place in June. More info on the newly announced shows which will see the band supported by Cruel Hand can be found below.

H2O are currently working on a new album titled Was Here, which will serve as a follow-up tot 2008’s Nothing to Prove. The band last released an album of cover songs titled Don’t Forget Your Roots in 2011 through Bridge Nine Records.



Venice Hardcore Fest announces lineup and teaser video

The lineup has been announced for this year’s Venice Hardcore Fest, notable acts include No Turning BackGnarwolvesSlander, Eisberg, and more.

The festival will take place on May 9th in Venice, Italy with 15 bands playing on 2 stages. Tickets will be available for 5 Euro.  Check out the show poster and a teaser video below, and click here for more info.

True Love sign to Bridge Nine Records

Detroit-based straight edge act True Love have announced that they have inked a deal with Bridge Nine Records, and are currently writing their full-length debut album, which they will begin recording at the beginning of July at Bricktop Studios with Andy Nelson in Chicago, Illinois.

No release date has been set for the debut album, but we’ll keep you posted as more details on it come to light. True Love last released the EP A Floral Note two years ago.

Modern Pain streaming “Peace Delusions” off upcoming 7″ and full-length

Dallas hardcore act Modern Pain recently signed to Bridge Nine Records, and has been hard at work finalizing their debut full-length album. To hold fans over, the band will be releasing a 7-inch featuring a new song titled “Peace Delusions”, and a cover of Sonic Youth’s cover “Kill Yr Idols” on the B-side.

The 7-inch will be released on May 19th, and is meant as just a little teaser of the band’s full-length, Peace Delusions, which will feature a re-recorded version of the song from the 7-inch.

H2O to play some Warped Tour 2015 dates; full lineup now set

Okay, before we get down to business, allow us to wish legendary H2O frontman and full-time PMA advocate Toby Morse a happy 45th birthday!

Morse’s birthday brings with it the announcement that his band of hardcore stalwarts have been added to the lineup for a couple of shows on the 2015 edition of the Vans Warped Tour Presented by Journeys. Specifically, H2O will be in the house for stops in Portland, Oregon, on August 7th and in Auburn, Washington, on the following day. With that, the full 2015 Warped Tour lineup has been announced. H2O are in the process of recording a brand new studio album. Their last release was an album of cover songs entitled Don’t Forget Your Roots in 2011 through Bridge Nine Records. Their last album containing all-new material Nothing to Provewas released in 2008.



H2O, The Misfits (playing “Earth A.D.” in full), Snapcase & more to play This Is Hardcore 2015

The 2015 edition of the annual This Is Hardcore festival has been announced! Bands on the massive lineup include H2O, The Misfits (who will be playing 1983’s Earth A.D. in its entirety), Snapcase, Biohazard, The Exploited, Cro-Mags, a reunited Chokehold, and many others. Check out the full list below.

This Is Hardcore 2015 will take place on July 23rd-26th at Union Transfer and the Electric Factory in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Tickets for the 3-day festival will go on sale this Friday, April 3rd at 12pm EST.



War On Women release music video for “Glass City”

Baltimore feminist punk act War on Women have released a music video for their song “Glass City,” taken from their new self-titled album. You can check it out below.

The band’s self-titled debut was released on February 10th through Bridge Nine Records. They will be touring with Anti-Flag and The Homeless Gospel Choir this May.



H2O post studio update, announce 20th anniversary shows

New York hardcore veterans H2O are getting closer to completing work on their upcoming sixth studio album. A few days ago frontman Toby Morse posted an image on his Instagram page of drummer Todd Friend with the caption “March 23rd 2015. Drums for 13 new H2O songs completed by Todd. Next Up: Bass.” There’s still no details surrounding the album yet, but we’ll keep you posted as information becomes available.

In addition to recording a new album, the band has revealed they will be playing three shows in celebration of their 20th anniversary. On May 6, May 7, and May 8 the band will be playing through their discography (two albums per-night) at St. Vitus in Brooklyn, NY. The order they’ll be playing the albums has not been announced yet, but you can check out a flyer for the shows below.

Malfunction (Buffalo hardcore) sign to Bridge Nine Records

Twenty years in and the Bridge Nine Records roster just keeps getting better. The label announced today that they’ve added Buffalo-based hardcore four-piece Malfunction to their vaunted roster. The band are putting the finishing touches on their debut full-length, “Fear Of Failure,” and tomorrow they’re headed out on a full US tour with Bane. Check out dates here.

“Fear Of Failure” is due out out this summer, and serves as a follow-up to their 2012 “Finding My Peace” EP.



Bent Life signs to Bridge 9 Records; streams new song

Lincoln, Nebraska hardcore act Bent Life have announced that they have signed with Boston hardcore label Bridge Nine Records. The band will be working on their debut for the label once they wrap up their current tour. In the meantime, however, the band will release their new 7-inch, Cheat Death, on May 1, 2015 through Bad Teeth Records. You can give a listen to the first song from the 7-inch, “Nail in the Coffin,” below.

Bent Life last released the Full Skull LP, which was a compilation of the band’s Bent Life EP and Full Skull EP, on January 27, 2014 through 6131 Records.
